Look honestly if i was a qld'r (shudder) this is probably the side i'd fear most going into the 2012 series.

1. Hayne
2. Morris
3. Morris
4. Jennings
5. Uate
6. Carney
7. Mullen
8. Gallen
9. Buderus
10. Tamou
11. Williams
12. Bird
13. Stewart

14. Lewis
15. Merrin
16. Watmough
17. Sims

Noot saying it's the best side or the side that should be picked but on sheer potential and in top form each one of these players are probably without peer in their positions in NSW and have the ability to a man to be a MOTM in SOO.

I think Gallen will go to lock for Tamou. Mannah and Tamou with Merrin and one other on the bench, not sure.

Sims to play IF he plays well in CvC. These are the type of players that benefit from CvC. If he shows that he can handle a higher class then he should be an option.

Buderus will not play 80 minutes. Ryan Hinchcliffe could get a run if he plays well, since he was a stand out in Albury last year.

So many left centres...come to think of it, there arent too many quality right centres going around anywhere. Hodges, SKD, can't really think of any other good ones. Tate is ok I guess.

NSW are going to have to pick someone out of position there. And sides do make a difference.

The irony is the best one apart from Hodges is a Blue...he just doesn't want to play origin.

Very few players are screaming 'what are you doing bludger?! Select me!' that it makes it difficult to nominate an ideal side. Dare I say only Gallen & to a lesser extent Bird are in that kind of irresistible form.

Not an ideal centre formation with two left centres but choices on the right are limited to champions like Pomeroy & King. Maybe RWB was right, maybe Maubs isn't such a bad selection? I digress, I'm going strictly on form and I just hope they can do their jobs in defence and pose enough of a threat out-wide.

Don't think we've seen the best of Carney yet at Cronulla and I'm unsure if he has what it takes at this level but desperate times call for desperate measures. I don't think Soward is the type of half you need at the moment, as Johns put it, he's a guider, not a creator & NSW needs point.

Bench is pure impact. Wallace maybe a strange selection but his work out of dummy half has always impressed me when he's cameo'd there for the Broncs and he has the tenacity you'd like in your players. TLL hasn't disappointed at this level and he's always got a few good carries in him. Two brief 20 minute stints could be just the tonic NSW needs. Watmough like TLL hasn't let anybody down at this level and he just loves to get stuck in and will earn big metres each time. Snowden is in good form and is another big body that will be difficult to handle when the defence begins to get a little tired.

i'd agree, i dont want to see that side selected.
at the beginning of last year's series, nsw brainstrust led by a.johns with a secondhand laptop, had worked out how to stop qld's pet play with slater coming late on an outside/in play. for 65-70 min it worked with beau scott pivotal in defence. they need to revisit that to have any chance

He is the guy that trampled all over the Roosters in Darwin.

funniest thing in the fox call of the game was that the commentators failed to mention that the 2 best cowboys, tamou and winterstein, played lower grades at the roosters, maybe they didnt know?

Exactly. Before I decided to be reasonable with my side, Lyon was the first centre I selected. Unfortunately, even if he put his hand up you'd question if his heart was really in it.

Interesting side RABK. I understand the logic but definitely a few selections I personally don't rate (Morris, Mullen, G. Stewart & Tamou + Williams starting).

Maybe the Roosters should have kept them, certainly would strengthen their side. Mind you I think Matt Scott has a lot to do with Tamou and his development. The Broncos would have had a lot to do with Antonio.

Can't pick a player that doesn't have his heart in it. It denies someone that does an opportunity and having that added bit of desire can be an important asset, I am sure Gallen wouldn't have gotten 200 plus metres without it last year in game 2.

Half of them came in one game.

He probably let more in then he scored in the end.
He's so shit he scored a hat-trick. I don't remember him being anything but decent in Origin anyway, they will probably pick J Morris who I think is a good player but he plays left centre for his club. That's why I said King, there are no specialist right centres who are worth picking or who would play.

King is borderline FG standard. Those 3 tries he scored from what I can remember were as simple as being in the right place at the right time. King hasn't played Origin in over 5 years and he was 10x the player back then, then what he is now. I agree that he played pretty well in his time playing for the Blues, though.

No way should King be selected. The left centres in form should be able to make the switch. They might not be as good, but they will be better then King

Hayne had a solid game at centre last season, could be worth giving him another shot there.

If Hodges and Inglis both played on the left for their club do you think the Qld selectors would hesitate to move one of them to the right or leave one out of the side and go for a lesser player who was a "right side specialist"?

I'm really hoping Lawrence has a big game on Sunday, just so everyone jumps back on his bandwagon. He has been in poor form, he is classy and has been consistently the best centre in NSW for the past 3 years and I think he will have a good game.

Hope so mate. His form this year has been poor so he really needs a good game on Sunday if he is any chance.

We don't have 2 of the best centers of the modern era in our squad for a start. Inglis has caused us the most problems on our right, Josh Morris will most likely get the nod. I don't have an issue with that it's just my opinion that King would go ok. FFS yourself
