Plus Luai in only 2 years of playing as a starting half, has played in 2 grand finals winning one of them, and won a state of origin series.

That is in NRL

He has played SG Ball GF
2 NYC GF
2 NSW Cup

He has won comps in NYC, NSW Cup and NRL. Leota has too

but he was the clear better option with the runs on the board

Is there anyone who doesn't rate Tago long term?

Is he ready to make 30 tackles a week for 30 weeks? I am unsure of that.
Like Staines last year I don't know if he is in the side come finals time

Long term though he is a 10 year player

Only injury is going to keep him out of the side I’d say, not every young guy struggles to get through a season and Tago looks a lot more robust than staines. He won’t have to make 30 a game tbf, for comparison critter made 11, Parker 14, Harper 22.

Our left is our deadly side in attack
Luai and Kiks are worse defenders then Cleary and Martin.

Teams are idiots if they don't hammer the left side in defence

That is part of my we will fade out reasoning the mental side for the young guys and their lack of footy

Money talks if he has a good season sos will get offered 2 times what penrith can offer.at the moment the dolphins have no name halves do it would be a good move
Brilliant start to the season, played beyond his known capabilities, very cool.

But he’s with a pack to die for and he pre Panther form was flaccid.

If anything, his instant success in the role suggests Nate is not as an important figure as everyone believes.

I liked how the muscle memory kicked in from the finals, after a well earned off-season.

I’m not an Ivan person, but due is due for the much better game plan. The bench was also used judiciously.

Des had nothing and it was one of those games where he should have panicked and done something different.

SOS showed up DCE (incredible) and I’m sorry to say the case against Forans career gets more compelling every week.

SGI will play with a lot more intent purpose and Hook is unconventional. It will be a good test to see if this week wasn’t a sentimental happy frolic in the woods.

SOS is the new Dylan Edwards. He spoke well afterwards. Not a “ don’t you know who I am?” player like Kiks and the walking piece of dogshit, the roosters resident racist.

Its extremley rare for a centre to make 30 tackles in a match..

On avg they make between 14 and 18 id say..

I have no concerns with tagos body holding up. He looks very physically developed already.

The majority if major/serious nrl injuries come when in attack. Thats generally when things like body parts are under the most stress.

In defence he may get battered and bruised but generally concussion is is the main thing to worry about in d.

I think if he was a yound prop id be more worried but most young backs these days can transition into nrl ok. They are on weight and training programs from 15.

The major diference between him and staines last year is he is physically ready and built for nrl. Staines wasnt last year. He liked size and strength.

Tago will be fine and i just dont see who we could replace him with anyway..

Jennings really is just a winger these days.
Tmay could play centre but hes less physically ready than tago.
Jenkins isnt as good as either or tmay or tago and i think hes a winger and club see him as that too atm..

I liked kiks sticking up for tago the other night. It was a really good sign imo.

The issue isn't physical side of it

Played SG Ball in 2020 until it was scrapped

Played a bit of the bench. I remember the most being a half of a game

After playing 10 games in NSW Cup

To play a full season is more then he played the last 2 years combined.

In a new position. 1 that is the most difficult mentally wise to defend in

That is the issue the guys with no footy will cop. It is a hard thing to do especially the high standards we need to push for a premiership

Look at his signings, deep and mysterious!

SGI we’re going ok until Bbq gate. It was their own club and the NRL that cost them a finals berth (birth!).

I’ve heard from ex Panthers juniors, players have a very high regard for his footy intellect.

And the Gus treachery. A disgraceful public stabbing.

But that was an awesome slight Socky.

There is nothing deep or mysterious about him, he is as meat and spuds as they come. I think he is a decent coach. He gets his teams fit and isn't afraid of giving a kid a run. If you think "run hard, tackle hard" written on a whiteboard is footy intellect, then yeah. I guess he is quite the visionary.

Hardly treachery. It was Hook or Ciraldo. The club chose wisely. In any case, Hook white anted Henjack to get the job at the Broncos, so he can hardly whinge about fair or treachery.

Whatever you’re on Silverdale…

Ill have some.
All good Martie, I’m just offering up my humble views in a constructive and good humoured light with the good intent.

No horror under Sockys watch. Those days are long gone brother.

You guys have to defend fort smug stripped of many critical asserts. It’s all paws on deck!

I’m here to engage and help out.

I was happy to be wrong about round one, but at least I had the guts to accept it and move on. Nobody has praised sully more than me after belting into him. He deserves the rethinking of his ability. All good, I’m thrilled for him.

I’m a closet Ciraldo man as you know. Picture of him hidden in my desk at work ( just kidding).

He invented the arousing tidal wave defence and the underpinning foundations.

If things go poorly, I can only hope he’s coaching WT by Round 10. I’d be stoked. He’s fantastic.

I'm hoping he stays put and takes over when Ivan gets moved into a cushy job upstairs.

I agree from a Panther perspective.

He was a bit coy last year. WT were trying to flirt with him, but he wouldn’t let us buy him a drink!

Id say he wants to move to a club who are genuinely competitive and we are still building.

Money is not an issue for him which is refreshing. I’d like to meet him one day and discuss his footy values. The things he cares about more than others and the reasons why.

Burton is. A better 6 than Luai and will prove it
Api is cashing in to end his career
Capwell is........who knows
Burton could be a better 6 than Luai. I doubt he proves it though. He joined a shit heap team with a terrible coach, terrible hooker and no genuine half to partner him.

He will no doubt show glimpses of brilliance. But i can't see him outperforming Luai with all the disadvantages he will now have.

Without Edwards, we don’t win the grand final. So I disagree with you there.

Plus Burton left so he could get a starting halves spot, so playing fullback may still not have kept him at the Panthers, just like playing centre didn’t
I suspect it might have if he knew it was going to happen. The trouble is the Dogs were all over him the minute Nov 1 rolled around (and probably welll before that).

Great first up performance, the team looked super slick.

really impressed with Crichton back in the centres, that’s dead set his position.

Staines got more involved which was great to see.

Yeo is a legend in the centre of the field, we should’ve moved him to lock years ago!

Edwards, amazing. Just does so many little things right. I know he has limitations but his qualities far outweigh that issue.

I thought the team adjusted well to having two left foot kickers, better than last year when Cleary was out.

One concern I continue to have is our future without a high quality hooker. Api gave us so much direction without Cleary.

Burton might end up a better 6 than Luai, but I remain of the view that Luai is a better fit for Cleary. Luai’s off the cuff play suits Cleary’s by the numbers gone perfectly. Where as Burton is quite similar to Cleary, albeit he plays on the left.
