Hate me, bag me out, idc

In context of weather, FTA availability, price and performance

The Tigers crowd was actually better than the Dolphins.

Not that the Phins crowd was bad, just that I expected 25k+ for them and less than 8k for the Tigers

I know the "sold out" sign was put up at Allianz Stadium a few days ago...but, significantly, all restricted view tickets have since been sold.

This is unlike the Wallabies vs Springboks game last year. The crowd that night was also hampered by bad weather, and ended up clocking in at 38,292.

The forecast for ANZAC Day this year is 15-24 with a 10% chance of rain. Should be a great day for footy.

Luckily we aren't gauging our crowds on what southscountry expects lol

Nooooooooo way, if that was nearly 10k at the afl in the GC yesterday with empty seats everywhere. Than the Campbelltown crowd was over 40k..

It's very encouraging, hopefully we can push the 41,906 they got for the opening game between the Roosters & Rabbitohs.

AAMI Park continues to look promising. 12 of the 14 GA bays are now sold out and there are only 4 other bays left which allow you to buy more than 2 seats together.

The article says the warriors have approached the nrl about hosting it some years and been denied

the article quotes a current warriors player who said he would like nz to host it some times

along with not having a kiwi on the commission and the whole neglect of nz that’s insular

what happened to the idea of all clubs taking home games this year to nz to thank the warriors for their covid sacrifice

the nrl won’t be taking over the pacific as claimed whilst it pays lip service to nz

Existing contracts in place is the main reason

I think as league fans we should be delighted that the Storm have an annual marquee fixture.

However to make it fair to the Warriors, why not schedule a yearly fixture against the Storm or someone else on Kings Birthday long weekend in NZ.

RL needs more events, New events though not moving existing events

I'm not moving an event, I am creating one. The Storm ANZAC fixture stays as is. But when there is a Kings Birthday long weekend in NZ, build a new event involving the Warriors.

Maybe on public holiday eve, schedule a game Sunday night 8pm in NZ, 6pm back here in Australia eastern time.

I was referring to the article.

Exactly, That is the sort of thinking needed. The aim should be to build the event to fill Eden Park.

Every club should have an event as such. That is the easiest way to build the crowd average up

But this isn’t always down to the NRL. The clubs need to be smart and suggest to the NRL local events, for local demand. If that is such a good idea, then the Warriors should be proposing it to the NRL, not the NRL proposing it to the club.

Cowboys prefer Sat night home games, Yet rarely get them. Also clubs have no say over who they play. So it needs to come from above
