You'd force the Cowboys to play 1400km away from home for a Prelim?

You could fit 30k into QCB easily if they put the temp seating up but in a much smarter manner than the origin that was up there. There was a lot of wasted space with the set up they chose in 2021.

You could even just put in temp tier'd/stepped standing area in the northern end and 1-2k standing room tickets for the rest of the ground (which was actually part of the design) and it would hit 30k. I was surprised the NRL didn't do it last year for the prelim, they had 2 weeks to get it sorted FFS.

Final (and fairly large) redemption allocation for the Broncos have just been released to the public via ticketek. Shame that these weren't available when so many people were trying and missing out at 10:30am. Daft from the NRL, should still sell out pretty soon though.

It’s a grass field the same dimensions as every other. Home ground advantage, please, thats about fans not the stadium.

they play there every second week. No Cronulla shouldn’t move a game to an opponents home ground who finished lower it’s beyond ludicrous

Hmmmm, so shouldn't the Warriors or the Storm.
And they finished in the top 4.

This whole top 8 concept is nothing but BS

Nah - promoter and sponsor redemptions, I think. Stadium members don't have to opt in for Broncos finals games.

It's a bit annoying - it had sold to single seats by 10:16am and then they finally released the restricted view seats, which then sold, and then about 2,000 random other seats. All would have sold this morning. Ticketek just remains a gamble.

They get one week 2. Teams 3&4 get a free swing this week, they win great if they lose play next week at home.

The McIntyre system was dreadful if we aren’t going to do a final 5 final system (my preference but we won’t for financial reasons) then this system is the best one. You can’t have a system where you can potentially come 7th or 8th and get a home final week 2 if you win wk1.

Someone mentioned Cowboys getting smashed week 1 and making the GF.

2009 - Parra 8th
2010 - Roosters 6th
2011 - Warriors 11th

All made the GF.

2004- We came 4th. Home final and got the week off. Which in turn sent the 5th place Dragons home.

It rewarded the lower placed teams too much

I like the English system where two top teams have the week off ,and the rest play in a knock out
