So easy to talk about the great Jacques, but we should really get back on topic

But I must mention, We will all once again be able to witness Jacques in action after the ashes, SA touring there for a 4 test series, 5 game ODI series, and 2 x 20/20 games. Talk about something to look forward too, wow.

Ronnie McDonald is a bit stiff to not even get a warm-up game to show what he can do in English conditions. His bowling had been ok, the only knock on him was his batting and in his last inning he made a half-century.

I think North and Watson have got it over him as an alrounder. Also if they want someone to keep it tight I think they are thinking Hauritz is a better option (which atm he has shown nothing).

How good is it to be on TV? The last time I remember seeing a tour match was when C7 sport had the ashes!

Katich looks like in top form.

Yeah, I had a horrible feeling I'd do that.

95 against this attack when the rest are struggling is pretty good though.

Geez Clarkey is having a tough time.

Clarke out for 4, looked shocking for all of his 16 deliveries.

North very lucky not to get bowled there, looking very scratchy.

North, after failing to chop on once, succeedes with his second attempt.

Played on off Onions from a pretty ordinary delivery, after avoiding the same fate once already.

North out for 1.

Other than Katich and Hussey our top 6 looks in very rough touch.

I was about to pose the question - was there even a point of bringing McDonald on this tour?

He won't get a spot as a bowler ahead of Hilfenhaus or as a batsman ahead of Watson or North.

Why is he here? Surely Rogers or Voges would have been a better use of a plane ticket?

Haddin gone, LBW for not many. Pretty close call but still.

LBW Bresnan for 7.

Struth we're in trouble.
