Because the intellectual lightweights have their favourites, and Hughes scoring runs, and having a 3rd innings that's better than anything Khawaja or Warner have done this season would make them look stupid.

everything you say will happen doesn't

you are the f**king leightweight

Cutting was injured and they went with Starc purely for variation imo.

He's not an international standard bowler yet but he may be one day.

Injured himself after being omitted from the Aus. side for Starc. in the 1st test...

The Hughes haters ready to deathride him, remember that no top order batsman has done anything of note in this test.

If in the 1st innings he got out cheaply and then Warner and Khawaja put on a 200 run partnership you'd have a point. But you don't. Look how many have been caught in the slips, he's not alone.

We are not haters. We just have a clue unlike yourself. He is shot and regardless of his runs today I don't think we will see him at his best for a few years.

Yeah, maybe. In 2 or 3 years time. He is not up to it in 2011. It's just the truth. If he bowled exactly as he does, but with his other arm he'd be sooooo far down the pecking order you wouldn't have even heard of him. Potential? For sure. But barely at FC level right now.

Sun comes out we'll shit this in. Clouds stay over and the ball swings we're f**ked.

He's definitely not ready at this stage. What he has going for him though is that he is a genuine left arm quick and he has the ability to bring the ball back into the right handers and the kid is only 21.

However, atm, he's getting carried away with the pace he can bowl at and he drops far too short too often. His length is a worry at this stage. I'm positive that he'll sort it out though and along with a bit more fire in the belly, he'll come back to international cricket a far more dangerous player.

I would assume he's just filling in at this stage?

Really hoping Warner makes a big contribution. We can really build a solid team around him up the top of the order.

Why not? The new ball will be where this test is won and lost. If we can get through it 1 or 2 out, things will get easier, especially if the sun stays out.

I dont have any faith in warner or Hughes and its still a hard pitch to bat on. I hope we do but I don't think we will.

I don't think I've ever hoped to see Bunniesderp proven right before, but for f*cks sake Hughes, come on!

F*cking get some runs you useless pr!ck.

And if you don't, at least make them get you out... don't just get yourself out like you usually do.

Time to man up, for piss off back to the Shield. No more chances.

I think both Warner and Khawaja really earned their spots in the Australian side, but haven't really shown why during their time in the Australian team. This is a good opportunity for them and I hope they take it, others could make the runs too, I would just like to see those two make the runs.
