Looking a pretty silly declaration especially when the Windies were giving runs away

Going to want a wicket or two, pronto

What a wacky test.

Wouldn't want to be fielding with the forecast being 36 & 34 next two days. Could go horribly wrong if storms don't come through.

If Smith wanted a clinic on opening, he got it from Khawaja yesterday. With everyone collapsing around him, he maintained (an opener's) composure and temperament. He refused to get interested unless he needed to, something which is the opposite of Smith's hyper-engagement by nature. He built partnerships with Carey, then Cummins and dragged Australia out of a deep whole.

Bravo Usman.

Usman is one those players we will look back and go did CA really get everything possible out of. We backed Warner through hell or high water especially when on the road. Yet we tossed Khawaja to the curb at the first convenience every time.

71 tests he has played in his career but since his debut he hasn't played in 64 tests. So he has really only played in just a touch over 50% of tests for Australia since his debut.

So really he should have been a 100+ test player. Considering the shit we have put out there ahead of him in the past decade.
