Australia have scored 300 twice in 12 months and people keep knocking the bowlers lol. The two times we scored 300 we won. Wow amazing!!

India have benefited from the Australian batsmen being both shit and extremely uncomfortable against bumrah. It’s easy to take wickets when the opposition stinks and can’t handle the teams strike bowlers.

And surely the bowling tactics and plans have to come into question??? Apparently 7.9% of bowls bowled by us this series have been hitting the stumps.

That takes out two major ways to take wickets, I wonder how our bowlers would look if they got to bowl at our trash top order???

That is 7.9% of deliveries by the 3 quicks, which I guess makes the stat worse.

Relating to that, India have taken 8 wickets via LBW so far this series which over 3 tests actually sounds a bit low to me. Compare that to Australia who have taken a single LBW wicket and that was by Lyon last test where that delivery stayed low and the batsman had no chance.

Bugger, it's Cummins, still Warne gets to bag Starc

FFS Starc and Hazelwood haven't been their best buf if he's going to bang on about underperforming players there are a few ahead of Starc I'd have thought

Yep and MMarsh

But man to man probably every one of your guys has been outplayed... I'll give Cummins and Bumrah a draw

Going to have to bat well here, seems unlikely

It's weird that your two best bats are out and suddenly your wickets help the bowlers...

Yeah Starc isn’t on the top of the list that’s for sure, no argument that the batsmen are the major reason they’re losing. Warne will have a field day though.

Bit of chatter about how fearless India are, but seriously who the f-k wearing a baggy green is warranting fear.

India have bowled much better and the wickets are helpful

We haven't had blistering centuries hitting through the line, it's been hard work... the Aussies haven't been up to working hard for runs but they haven't for years because all they've had is highways to bat on at home

Easily the worst Aussie bowler to take 200 test wickets.

Merkin should of taken up leg spin as our second spinner.

Yeah...military medium plodder.

Although merkins have been saying the same about Starc now, given where he's currently sitting wickets wise. They said that about Lee. And then Johnson. And now Starc

Seems to me that people need to accept that genuinely fast bowlers, the guys who regularly push 150km, are less consistent and can be easier to attack at that pace if there's no assistance on the air especially.

Pujara a few runs away from doubling the high score of our pathetic batsmen. Now up to 29.5 hours at the crease this series...

Yep true, express bowling comes with that, they'd hate Jeff Thomson... that's why his average was 30 odd not 20 odd. Strike rate tells a better story, or adds context

Well is it purely tactics or is it a function of the wickets and the opposition?

Not trying to excuse it by any means, but like everything with Australian cricket right now, there's more than one problem here IMO. Bowling at the stumps on the Adelaide (which was OK, but flat) and MCG (apalling) decks is probably just going to increase the run rate. This one looks a road as well. Haze rarely attacks the stumps anyway, and Cummins is also more of a natural channel bowler.

It'd be better, and more interesting, to see that Stat broken up test by test.
