He didn’t in Melbourne.

Well played Pant, helped by Negative cricket.

Easy single for Jajeda as well.

Well then it's just as relevant to say he was helped by mis-hitting a drive on 20-odd....that carries to Starc and "negative tactics" suddenly become spot on.

Wow an Indian makes centuries on roads......if it was Smith or Warner they'd say he was a flat track bully.

Smith has made hundreds everywhere aside from Bangladesh and the UAE.

Pujara has made hundreds everywhere aside from New Zealand and the WI

Paine's only captain and in the team because.......well we all know....

He's captain because Warner put Bancroft up to ball tampering and torpedoed Smith's career at the same time.

He was already in the side.

He was still just hoping for a mistake, negative cricket IMO. It worked in the first few tests but the young fella has smartened up. He’s not not out and looking in no trouble at all. No pressure on him has helped.

What a pasting.

RIP Australian cricket, this is so pathetic it’s (almost) sad.

I particularly liked how they flashed up the 2004 test, where India scored 700, and were half-heartedly talking about how we salvaged a draw there.

As though it's relevant to this game. As though our batting lineup are somehow comparable to that 2004 side.

Didn't do too well in Perth, the only time he was under a skerrick of pressure.

A shame my mate Dhoni isn’t there, just the time for a heroic counter-attacking 40 to clinch the series from certain defeat.

All I'm saying is that defence doesn't equal negativity.

Nah he was on his way out. And he's only there because the other bloke stuffed up - not for any tactical nous of his own.

And importantly he's a nice guy.

If you're India, what are you doing here? Probably trying to bat as long as you can.

It could be someone's farewell Test, although they may not be aware of it yet.
