Bairstow scored 38 which is usually seen as a bit average, but it's a Bazaball 38 so will be glorified until the end of time.

Buzz will have a serious talk to Foakes and Root about their commitment to Bazball.

A strike rate of 43 and 26 is just not Bazball.
Quincey would have loved Bazball, could have score the most exciting 9’s until the end of time.

I realise I made a random Fallout joke earlier in the T20 thread but synchronistically the drone shots of Ranchi look like the f**ken Capital wasteland

Hopefully Root brings up his century with a reverse helicopter scoop off the back of his bat otherwise does it really count?

Joe Root shows he remains a great test bat, as opposed to decent Baz Baller

Fortunate that England have Joe Root and future hall of famer Ollie Robinson.

Looking forward to seeing their offies in the second innings.

I was getting worried there for a while Knobinson was a chance of getting a test 100.

If ever there was a least deserving prick in 150 years of test cricket for a player to score a test 100 it's him.

At least Pigeon still has him covered for a higher test score of 61.
