Just a quick souths worst buy 13
Obviously there have been worse players since re-admission, this team is made up purely of players who came to the club on big money and high hopes who just flopped.

1. Wesser- held inglis out of the fb position.
2. Reddy
3. C . walker
4. Richardson
5. Hegarty
6. B. Walker
7. J. Williams
8. Galuavo- good at panthers, eels & Eagles, poor for us
9. S. Walker
10. D. Taylor
11. Fletcher
12. Muir- set the platform for over payed, under performing players
13. Kidwell- played half a dozen games before being injured by his young daughter and retired

Coach. Paul langmack- only got the head coach position because he was the only person in the club with the necessary coaching qualifications

Terry Hill (the second time around) must be on the bench.

Surely Joel Reddy was never signed for "big money".. what's more, did anyone have "high hopes" for him?

Given that Filiga was incentive based and played 10 minutes, we paid next to nothing for him.

What did we pay Albert Kelly? And his 2011 season was outstanding until he broke his leg.

Wasn't the Sharks involved in a bidding war with Parramatta for Kelly?

Sharks have a few.
I think its unfair to put Toops in. when he played for us he played well. but he was injured a bit and had some really tough personal stuff happen when he was at Cronulla.

our worst in the NRL era

1. Jarrad Anderson
2. Leon Bott
3. Josh Hannay
4. Blake Ayshford
5. Jonathan Wright
6. Matt Johns
7. Tim Smith
8. Richard Villasanti
9. Corey Hughes
10. Don Tweedle
11. Andrew Lomu
12. Adam Cuthbertson
13. Reni Maitua

we have had some trash teams.

He is probably the exception to the rule, but i just had to put him in the team. A team of worst buys for Souths just wouldn't feel right with reddy, even though most fans knew what to expect before he arrived

lol, Tomkins is nowhere near the worst ever signing. Overpaid for what he delivered sure, but there are countless big names signed every year for a final payout before retiring who deliver far less. Just look at any Eels side...

Needs more Leo Dynevor to Magpies.
Was a big part of the Knights 97 season when Joey was injured.
Didn't kick on after that.

No way Keith Lulia gets a start over Nick Bradley-Qalilawa.

-Paul Whatiwura (Eels)

Although he won premierships at 2 clubs, and had a successful stint in England, he cannot have been on much coin at this stage of his career. As it was, he played one first grade game for the Eels.

I remember him for absolutely murdering a try in the dying stages of the 2003 GF, thankfully the match was over as a contest by then, but 24-6 would have been nice. All he had to do was pass to Luke Lewis outside him, the selfish prick.

Kidwell actually made it back to play in the semi against manly after doing his acl tripping over his daughter early that year.

I thought that was a pretty good effort. He wasn't the same player after that though, was ordinary in 2008.
