That's a bit harsh! I don't see so many problems with his technique. Gives it the full face, likes to get down the track and go over the top despite what you are saying about his lack of footwork. He does look awkward sometimes but I don't see any real flaws. I like his attitude the most though. Backs himself and is a fighter. Calling him a flat track bully is particularly harsh, I think he will turn out to be the opposite of that.
watch his front foot, half a step down the middle of the pitch instead of towards the ball, then he reaches out for the ball, looking with his hands as they call it
as a result there is a gap between bat and pad that you can drive a truck through, he never gets his front foot across to the pitch of the ball
he has a typical limited overs technique but he has a good eye to make up for it
you cant get away with that if the ball is moving so its no surprise that he has done well on this pitch
his footwork down the pitch to the spinners is good but he also uses the same footwork to a ball outside off stump
good luck to him if he can get away with it cause I really like the guy
