He managed 11 last season.

Not the highest of numbers, but I'll take that when he's making 120 metres a game, more than the likes of Weyman, Poore, Asotasi, Tronc, Myles, Galloway, Rapira, Taylor... need I go on?

Weyman made 36, Poore made 21

Give a man enough ball and they'll normally go that far.

It's an argument of quality > quantity and when it comes down to it Shillinton doesn't stack up.

11 tackle breaks is hardly worth crowing about.

You're right, he's also got a high work rate. Thanks for pointing that out.

I wasn't crowing about 11 tackle breaks, however if you think tackle breaks are what it's all about for a prop then you clearly lack a basic understanding of the game.

He also makes less errors and generally gives away less penalties than most props.

But hey, the Australian, PMs XIII and Queensland selectors clearly don't know as much as you.

Who is this David Shillington people speak about??? The front row stocks in the NRL are possibly at an all time low if he is getting a run for state and country.

I cant believe Tigers fans rate Heighington so low, everytime i have seen him he has been one of your best on field

He had a strong seasons in 07 and 08, but was useless in 09, just ran at the markers all year. Gareth Ellis made him look like a plodder.

He actually managed only 10 last season, Weyman had 36. Shillington averaged 18 tackles and 2.8 missed, Weyman and Poore averaged 22.6/1 and 29.5/1.7 respectively. Shillington is your only goto guy pretty much off a kick-off return, it has an impact on figures.

He is not in the class of most of the players you mentioned.

I tried to pick the top packs in the comp and they line up Parra, Titans, Melbourne, Souths, Buldogs and Saints.

I dont like these ratings thou because I think Souths have the best pack ahead of the titans, Melbourne and Parra and the bulldogs and saints have are just as good. It does show how close the comp is tbh

metre's per game is the only thing in Shillington's favour

i totally agree, with you, i gave him a 7 for consistency, i mean he is a player you want in your team, but he has dropped off the pace in the last couple of years

Wrong league i know but...

Warrington Wolves.

Morley - 9
Monaghan - 9
Carvell - 8
Anderson - 7
Westwood - 7
Harrison - 7

Total - 47.

Although i'm probably being harsh on Carvell as he is just as good as Morley but without the international caps.
