ADELAIDE TEST: Australia v India Dec 9-13 2014

Haddin always struggles in situations like this because he always looks to play very straight. The second new ball was nibbling around a bit and light was fading.

Still our best by a light year.

Disagree, he's 37 and not improving.
I think it's time we look to Nevill, Carters or Handscomb. Or even Dunk.

Hads has been very good for us but at 37 his time is up. He is in terminal decline like Healy was in his last 12months.

If they drop Haddin, they will 100% go for Wade. Nobody wants to see that.

If only Matt Wade wasn't a goat with the gloves cos he has good potential with the bat and is only 26 years old.i take his batting ability over the others but the f**ker can't keep for shit.

Wade was impressive in the one dayers, seems to have improved his keeping and did well with the bat. Having said that, stick with Haddin for Brisbane at the very least, maybe the series

Wade is next in line, unless they groom a newbie at the MCG or SCG? highly unlikely

Impressive? One 50 and he was sketchy as always with the gloves.

You're a f**kwit

Still believe Watson is a great too? FFS

Pretty even day, big toss to win, Aust still ahead - playing Clarke was a risk...

Always good to win any toss, not sure how big it is as Adelaide generally bats better in days 2-3. Not like the sub continent where it progressively gets worse. We have seen many sides over the years clock up big 1st innings when they bat 2nd here.

All relative on how India bat and we bowl though

Australia's batting already looks pretty weak with Rogers,Watson and Marsh in there in the top 6,if you add a a new keeper(who in my opinion are not as good as Matt Wade with the bat) than it looks even more f**ked.

Matt Wade should be selected for his batting and we pray he doesn't stuff up behind the stumps imo.

I agree with you on that. Haddin was playing straight as he does. A shame the ball moved away a bit. Not much he could have done.

If Haddin would have left that ball but it didn't move and went straight and hit off stump people would be saying what an idiot!

Sometimes that's the way Cricket goes.

I agree Timbo Haddin is still our vest keeper batsmen. Boone else is putting their hand up.

They'll give Haddin the rest of the series I reckon. Hopefully he gets some runs and quietens down the doubters.

I agree but give Haddin rest of series. Then reassess. I think the selectors will do that too.

It's such a shame that Wade is a bit of a donkey with the gloves because i really like his batting,he actually has a better first class batting average and a better Test batting average than Haddin.

Why you donkey behind the stumps Wade:(

Well we must have viewed him differently.

Im not a fan of his at all. But he kept well I thought. Maybe the shorter concentration span of keeping to only 50 overs helped?

He made a quick 30 odd which was crucial in our 1st ODI win by 30 odd, and without that 50 and sticking with Smithy we lose the 4th game. Only faced 6 balls each in two other digs

If Australia were 6-85 i have faith the gutsy Wade would get us out of trouble,if we were 6-85 i have faith we would get bowled out for 120 with Neville/Handscomb/Carters.

Ol mate Wade can bat under pressure, learn to keep ffs bro.

Be silly to drop Haddin, especially if Clarke cant play in Brisbane or the rest of the series

But he does need to improve his batting a bit next couple of innings

Personally I think this will be his last series, just a hunch.

I doubt they will risk a debutante in England mate, i doubt they will drop him but try and hang on with him till after England. Same with Rogers, and i think it will be a mistake.
