What are you basing this on?

None of the press releases I've read say they're going to rebrand as rhe Queensland Firehawks.

Richo announced the new QLD Firehawks brand on the bye round podcast last week.

They’re trying to sound like they are the dolphins and not really another brisbane club in the hope that broncos might back off. They’re trying to sound like they are the dolphins and not really another brisbane club in the hope that broncos might back off. What’s stupid is that nrl continues to allow news ltd to dictate how the game should be run.

That may be the case - trying to mollify the Broncos- however this attempt to be everything to everyone inevitably leads to a confused brand or idea.

The "Queensland Firehawks" brand mentioned by Shane Richardson is garbage. I'd rather have no team representing the Logan region than one called the "Queensland Firehawks".

If they want to represent southern Brisbane and south-west Queensland then they should call themselves "South Queensland".

I don't understand why Richardson is talking about taking games to Mackay and Cairns.

Why go to cities in north Queensland that are based in the Cowboys' catchment?

I cannot see many people in Cairns and Mackay supporting the Firehawks.

I can understand taking one game to Toowoomba.

Saddle up with Ipswich and become the Brisbane Jets. Another option is to saddle up with Souths Logan Magpies to become the South Brisbane Magpies or Brisbane Magpies.

I cannot imagine the Queensland Firebirds netball team will allow an NRL team to call itself the Queensland Firehawks.

There's so many better brands they could go with.

Brisbane Tigers should work out a deal with Western Suburbs Magpies to get ownership of the "Tigers" trademark. Wests going back to the "Magpies" could be the spark they need to go all in on the Macarthur region.
