I am glad that 2 players that were personally dudded by the cheating pr*cks, not once but twice, were able to be part of a team that knocked them out of the finals.......couldn't be happier for them and I hope they get the premiership they should have got 2 years ago!!!!!
damn straight! I was thinking the same thing last night

Feleti for the clive churchill medal :thumn (and even then the jealous merkins on this forum will still find a reason to cry like babies about him)

  .... you don't visit here very often do you ..... most postings here are more in the "denial that he plays any good" mold (ie people nit picking EVERY mistake he plays and ignoring the good stuff ...... yet funnily enough, the same people then have a good old laugh at the Souths fans who do the exact same with Sandow)

I think the general concensus is he has talent but wasn't worth the huge $$$s the warriors threw his way

personally, yeah I think we desperately need someone of his ability, although I reckon Kearney and his play safe gameplans would stifle him just like other coaches before him ..... good luck to Feleti (and Kris) - hope they get a premiership next week

Well the safe play no offloads did not seem to work for you did it ?

You need to chance your arm to win games you cant expect to win games with no offloads and just hit up hit up and kick.

Thats how i feel, but doesn't mean i wasn't cheering for them both last night to do well and then again next week. At least two Parra boys got some revenge on the cheating Scum that are the Storm.

Phil knows his stuff.

Although we did disagree when Locke ran it up to the 20m line for a quick tap late in the game. I thought Locke did the right thing by trying to keep the pressure on, whereas Gould thought Locke should have slowed the game down.

In a situation like that I'd usually concede Gould knows better than myself and Kevin Locke.

Well I think Gould was wrong and you were right. Most of the time slowing the game down when you are in front is the best move. But on this occasion the 5-10 seconds that would have been saved were not as valuable as the field position that Locke's quick tap got them. All Warriors needed to do was play down the other end, and by the third tackle they were on Storm's 40 metre line. A slow tap might have allowed Melbourne to steel themselves for one big defensive set.

I, like you, think Gould has a great football brain and people who don't listen to him just because he's a bit if a knob are doing themselves a disservice, but he was wrong this time.

So where are all the Mateo & Inu shit dumpers now?

Is it because the Warriors with Inu & Mateo on board are now in the 2011 GF?
I hope they both win, but they both showed their weaknesses again last night. Storm went to Inu's side early and scored, they just never got back down there to try it again because their forwards are pish. Mateo wandered around in D, doing not much.

I do agree that Mateo was very disciplined in attack. But - here's a thought - after having been told that by numerous coaches perhaps the fact he finally got released by one had started to allow the message to sink in?

I think we did the right thing by releasing them AND I hope they win. The two things aren't mutually exclusive.

Ah yes inu is another one. I guess smith , walker , loko and who ever you played there during the year is a better option right ?

Where's Anderson now? Where's Inu and Mateo now??

The important thing is, none of them are still at the club.

If they'd stayed they sure as shit wouldn't have been playing in the grand final this year, so what's your problem?

One's unemployed but the two players have made the Grand Final. The more you post the more you embarrass yourself.

I don't see how mate.

I agree Anderson's nothing special as a coach, but Mateo and Inu are just lucky they're at a club that could afford to pay big money for edge players and still afford to have quality players at 1, 6 and 7.

The fact is we couldn't afford quality through the spine while paying Inu and Mateo what the Warriors are paying them, and as good as they may be, we really needed to bring in Sandow and Roberts and keep Hayne far more than we needed Mateo and Inu.

Those two played for us in '08 and '10 and we missed the finals both years so they can't be that good. Mateo's never played Origin and Inu's played a handful of games for his country in 5 years.

They're good players but they're not superstars. I don't know how the Warriors can afford to pay them so much, but I suspect it's because they're paying unders for Johnson and Maloney.

Good luck to the Warriors, but cutting Mateo and Inu was the start of us rebuilding the club. We needed the salary cap space. I don't know how you think you can keep arguing against that.

Better in the sense that they're cheaper.

You can't have the best players at every position unless you're the pre-2001 Broncos. Most clubs have to abide by the salary cap.

Is this the same club where supporters say that letting mateo go was part of the club rebuilding.:lol::lol:

Lets let one of the best 2nd rowers in the game go so we can rebuild

Maybe broncos should do the same with sam

If you understood the game instead of just being a boring troll, you'd understand that you have to prioritise positions under the salary cap. Edge forwards who can't play 80 minutes and outside backs are much less of a priority than spine players, and therefore should be paid less, not more.

I guarantee you, Inu and Mateo will be the first ones to get forced out when the Warriors lock up Johnson and Maloney to bigger deals.

Seriously mateo is a match winner and a guy you want to build a club around lol.

True Mateo's a match winner but he's also a match loser - he missed 7 tackles in Brisbane a couple of weeks ago but I assume you only watch the attacking side of the game.

He's a great attacking player but a poor defender. You can only afford one of those types of players in your team and it's certainly not in the second row.

Far out I am out here you guys wont win a premiership for many years.

Darren Lockyer says bye.

Difference is Thaiday can play 80 minutes, he can play in the middle, and he's a good defender. Mateo can't do any of that.

Sam Thaiday is one of the best three forwards in the game (with Gallen and Blair), which is why he plays Origin and for Australia.

That's why he deserves the big money.

Really? The 2011 Warriors team in the grand final with Mateo in the second row playing 60 mins a game begs to differ.

Ah, the 'wisdom' of youth. Inu was crap the last few years and Mateo is not worth $400k +. We offered him what he was worth, he didn't want it (and I can't blame him for taking a lot more cash).

Unlike the Broncos, we have a salary cap to work with. Sad but true.

Just want to say well done Mateo and Inu, they were two of my favourite players at parra along with Hayne, its good to see them getting another shot at a premiership and will be cheering for them, i know there was some hate once they both left last year but i still have a soft spot for these two and wish them the best on sunday.

The 2009 Eels team agrees with you.

Thing is, both teams had budget halves playing well above their value.

What are you going to do when Johnson and Maloney want to get paid what they're worth?
