Great call, I'd love Flanagan at Saints - imagine that, "Dragons signed Flanagan for 2014, swaps Vidot/Soward/Prior for Gordon/Carney/Lewis". Watch this space!!!

What about the bloke who filled in for Flanno on the weekend? Has a decent resume with Manly and ESL. Name escapes me though...

Peter Sharp is the coach you are thinking of..
also had stints at the Knights and assistant to Bellamy at the storm..

Hopefully Price 5 games from exit. theres a positive for the season ;)
and another positive is there will still be players to sign prior to June deadline.. there are a lot of quality players in the ESL who would love to come home to Aussie to play.. they would be able to negotiate a release from their contracts on compassionate grounds like most do.

Many may not know that Flanagan is a former Dragons lower grade player from the mid-80s. Played in the 1985 under 23's grand final winning side, plus 3 games in first grade in 1988.

If things were not to work with Price I'd really like to see Justin Holbrook get a go (I am aware how quickly this idea is going to get shut down) just to my 2 cents nonetheless.

Two or three I think. Likes a feed. Not the fittest bloke, but at least he drinks VB and not Crownies.

We need someone quickly if it ain't going to be price, players for next year will be snapped up before we get someone in place otherwise. If we don't our lack forward planning will put us behind yet again and there will be another wasted season thanks to people that are more worried about a fridge full of crownies rather then winning nrl games

Nathan Brown is the best option. He is now more than qualified. All his mates are now gone and he has a great eye for talent. Always could pick up a good buy or 2 in the off season e.g Withers, Ennis, etc.

And Passion, well you won't get more than what he has from any other coah especially for the red V. You all saw what he did when Saints played crap? Never said, great effort, proud of the boys, etc. It's slaps and screams all round. Just what the current guys need now.

Honestly why would he come back maybe to prove a point but honestly if I was him I would stay in the Old Dart and make the $$$'s in an easier comp with a big club like Saint Helens.

He is walking into a mind field if he did decide to come back yes the players have changed alot but the board hasn't they aren't willing to back Price he surely must feel they wouldn't back him either.

If Doust and his yes men where given the shove then the Dragons would be alot stronger club they are the one's holding the Dragons back.

Actually his BFF is still there one Peter Doust, not to mention people like Hornby, Sailor, Gaz & Young are still very much so involved with the club, He did sight some pretty good players for sure bur let's not forget the other gems like Luke McDougall, Ben Ellis, Colin Best, Tony Caine, Nick Youungquest & Richie Williams to name a few. I won't question his passion no doubt he has plenty of it, but let's face facts for Browny nothing has changed since he left as he is still yet to win the big one, he has moved on and so have we.

Colin best! Best was great for us in 05-06. That Gasnier best combo was terrific. The others you're pretty spot on.
