That is your interpretation of it through your rose coloured Bunji glasses Vas. The point I was making was not the feelings of Widdop over the success of the team , it is Widdop who will create more success for the team if he is the dominant playmaker & Bunji steers the team around the way he is supposed to. Once again it is not about Widdops feelings it's about recognising who makes the better decisions on a consistent basis & not going for the miracle play or miracle ball that ends up in the fifth row. As an experienced player & halfback Bunji is supposed to build pressure on the defense not hand overs glut of easy possession through his brain snaps. [-X[-X[-X

Wouldn't bother. Can't talk sense to an idiot.

Thank you for highlighting what a completely ignorant douche bag you truly are. I suppose you are still crying over your Sheens coached Tiggers getting beaten by us in the 2010 semi?

Well done! They say in Russia; 'Even bears can be trained.'
In future save your 'messiah' comments for an enemy coach to the forum for the club he coaches.

Why are you still on my case about this](*,)](*,)](*,)? I agreed with Old Timer and yourself. Widdops feelings are far more important than the teams success and the club should not try to sign Robbie Farah just in case Widdop won't like it.

Happy? Can we move on now or is there another bear-brain I must train?

Bennett is the greatest coach of all time, and the man who delivered a long awaited Premiership after 31 years in the wilderness.
I'm going to postulate something here, I consider him a 'Messiah'.
All those in favour say aye.
Against, f**k off.

Like anyone who leaves Saints for somewhere else, I hope he fails for ever after.

Yep, and the players on the field, club stalwarts like Gaz, Cooper, Hornby and Young had nothing to do with it at all:crazy:!

Wrong once again. They performed to their optimal abilities thanks to Wayne 'Messiah' Bennett.

So without that scheming, lying but ruthless enemy coach they would have played poorly? Did you decide that by yourself?

Difference between 'not to their optimal abilities' and 'poor'. For example, all those players you mention didnt performto their optimal ability in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and so on.

Is your position now that the coach has nothing to do with success? An interesting twist...

No. My position is very simple. If one wants to drool over an enemy coach (one who in my opinion plotted against the long-term interests of the team while he was still the coach. One who also factually took a trip up to Newcastle near the end of season when the team was going very badly.) one should not do so on this forum but on the forum for the team that enemy coach now coaches.

Fair enough. Seems a bit like you're trying to create forum rules based purely on your opinion of the coach who took us to our first premiership in three decades! But you are entitled to that opinion.

Hey, here's an entertaining anecdote that you will love, mildly related to this thread - the most reliable poster on Jubilee Ave has mentioned that Mann will get first crack at fullback next year! Fun, right?!

Or perhaps someone such as yourself, who so obviously does not support the Dragons, should piss off back to his own teams forum.

So many errors in just two sentences, and I bet you weren't even trying.

I see. Good way to avoid the issue. My favorite memory of Bennett apart from the premiership was his trip up to Newcastle to organize things for the next season that day. Showed utter contempt for the club!

I'm sorry you seemingly can't understand why I would be unhappy to see posters drooling over an enemy coach on this 'Dragons' forum.

Vas,

Bennett had a job to do and did in style.

We also had a premiership winning team on paper in the mid 2000's, if you remember, with many astute pundits suggesting it was our year. Not having a go at Nathan, but what Bennett did for this club in 3 years was better than I expected.

And left it in a shambles, in my opinion on purpose, and now coaches an enemy club. Has done so for 4 years. Are these same homies of the opinion Darius Boyd is 'a messiah'?

That would probably be because you lack the ability to process logical thoughts and opinions. In your own twisted little mind you believe that your opinion is the only one that matters, but in reality, you are wrong.

I'm going to go out in a limb and say that you're not sorry at all!

The reason they are 'drooling' is that he is more than an enemy coach, he is the difference between us having won a premiership in the last decade vs staring at a possibility of 4 decades without one! As for treating apart or club, the blame for that between 2011 and 2014 should be squarely on the shoulders of the clubs management. The lack of capitalisation on the success of 2010. The lack of succession plan for our retiring heroes. The lack of junior development. The signing of planks to high dollar, long term deals. And of course, the signing and re-signing of Price. None of these were the actions of Bennett, all he did was take Boyd and his high performance team.

Purely hypothetical. I doubt Nathan Brown could have done it but another experienced coach may have. As I said, purely hypothetical.

Is Darius Boyd also "a messiah"? If you or anyone else were drooling over him on this forum 4.5 years ago, I wouldn't have had a problem with it.
