Re the Hunt issue IMO if it was any less than a huge bollocking then who ever was in the room giving the review failed badly.

I have been following the big red v for well over 60 years and have seen lots of highs and horrendous lows and during that time I have been highly critical of players, coaches, office bearers as well as being wax lyrical for those I really enjoyed and in the end I have never let that stop me from following the only club I have ever supported.

The S F appointment drove me close to giving it all away but in the end even that issue is not bigger than the club or the supporters so I have had to allow my moral compass to be a little out of whack.

I had the same 'moral' concern re Flano. I did some background research which assuaged my concerns (I don't intend to reopen the subject). I also agree re the Hunt review. Someone (not you) posted that Deano fixed Flano's mistake by giving Hunt a good rogering, which is obviously a biased and nonsensical assumption. I generally try to ignore such risible mutterings but there is a point where some assumptions tumble into simple falsehoods. I'm a 60+ years supporter also. He is one of the reasons I think Flanno is not in a hurry to find a middle, LPT to debut this year in a big way.

Why is it for other clubs, players in particular Terrell May and Jock Madden get tapped and made public that they can basically piss off when they have two years under contract remaining. With us, it's so hush hush behind closed doors to not hurt anyone's feelings.

The wing spots are the most intriguing for me. Just listening to Flanno talk about Lawson indicates that once he adapts he’s almost assured 1 spot. Definitely puts pressure on the other guys especially young Sloan as we have so many options now.
