Mx it is a long season. Tigers have won 7/8 opening 2 rounds going back 4 years.

You won't win many games conceding 18 penalties and only scoring 1 try.

Then they need to make the space to cover the $1.2m wage. Not too mention Nathan knows no players. His dad won't be in the Gym or doing the running

So they win 2/2 against premiership favorites and it means nothing because they have started well before? Under different coaches... with different rosters.

Last year in Round 2 we beat them 36-2.
This year in Round 2 they upset Billy Slaters 300th game by beating Storm despite 18 penalties against them.

I think they have improved alot and by the time Nathan Cleary is on the market they should be even better again.

I know its fashionable to hate former Panthers. But Tigers are a genuind top 8 threat and a genuine threat at taking Nathan away.

Short memory MX...

2015. WT win the 1st 2. Are 4/4 after 8 weeks finish 15th.
2016 WT win the 1st 2 games. Beat both teams from the grand Final the year before. Parra lose points they still miss the semis.

Lets see where they are after 10 rounds

I think Ivan will do a good job with them. They shouldn't fold too easily.

And they had a different coach in both seasons. And a different roster.

They're a brand new side with a brand new coach. Those starts are irrelevant to Ivan and half the roster as they weren't part of it.

I must of missed where they are stacked with Rep players MX... They are like us in 2012. Plenty of plodders
No you missed where you used results of differeny players and a different coach as evidence of anything.

Fact is this is s new roster under a new coach who has never coached the Tigers in a pre-season before nor has he coached them in Rounds 1 or 2.

The Tigers starts in those years are as relevant to us as they are the Tigers.

Tigers Round 1 2015:
1. Tedesco
2. Naiqama
3. Simona
4. Lovett
5. Richards
6. Moses
7. Brooks
8. Woods
9. Farah
10. Galloway
11. Sironen
12. Sue
13. Taupau

14. Heletau
15. Seumanufagai
16. Lodge
17. Santi

15 different players compared to their Round 1 2015 roster. Aswell as a new coach .

Tell me again how Tigers 2015 results are remotely relevant to this roster and coach? They aren't.

Thats not to say they are top 8 certainties. But they have shown they are a genuine top 8 threat.

How many from their current 17 would get a start elsewhere? Like I said very similar to our 2012 and 13 teams. 2013 we beat the Storm but were no where near the top 8...

Ahh yes I forgot you blokes only care about beating top teams not making the 8... My mistake carry on

Wow, that's some turnover of players.

It's more going on the available evidence. As the weeks go by we can update the facts. Also we are top 4 by the way

I thought only Gus let plenty of players go...

There might be a few stable rosters, but the salary cap leads to high player turnover.
When I was looking at available props, Brisbane lost Blair, Ese'ese, Arrow and Molo. Throw in Hunt and Moga, that's quite a bit of talent to lose. We focus on Panthers and sometimes don't fully notice what's happening with other clubs.

Storm too have a few decent players to go.

That 100% footy show last night. Gus had some interesting points on the Cap. Btw after that I give us 0% of re-signing Mansour. He laughed off the Journo's assessment that Mansour was a $400k player. Which is what Oates wants but wants to play backrow to get it

My point is. It's so hard to manage and while we have plenty of room this year and next. 2019 we will be different when Cleary, RCG and Blake get re-signed

I agree that Mansour is almost a certainty to go, unless other clubs are also unprepared to pay him that kind of salary. Thankfully our team will be able to handle his departure much better than we could have done in the past.

He was asked. How much is Mansour worth. He did well and asked them how much would they pay. The answer was $400k..To wish Gus said 'Goodluck filling a team if a you pay a winger that' Bulldogs for example are at the stage they need to pay overs for talent. Parra too so safe to say he is gone
