Bromwich and Tamou would be on the same though. Adam Blair too yet look at his output.

Those types of guys are needed though. The coach isn't even present most of the time for recovery and gym sessions.

You hope they pass what they learn from the successful clubs to the new players. Good habits get passed on.

For me a starting prop should gain 100m and make 20 tackles a game. He does that so fine with me. Other forwards are improving so the extra stuff must be working too

A good starting prop should be getting those stats Franklin, but he isn't just a 'good' Prop, he is a STAR prop getting paid 2 to 3 times more than a good prop but only outputting like one. That is terrible Value for money.

He should be getting on average 150m, most of it quality either scattering or attracting several defenders. He should also be getting off quality offloads and quick play the balls on top of 60-65 minutes game time with 25 odd tackles with very few misses. With that output he would be PAR value considering what we are paying.

When they publish what every player is on then I will comment on value for money. I can though compare to other props and their workload

Other then LoLo, who is on $1M a year, which prop boasts those numbers? Or even close to those numbers? The best prop in the world J Bromwich? Nope, not even close.

Pretty easy to throw up a few numbers & say he should be doing A, B & C.

Klemmer is a lot closer to it than Tamou and both are starting props.

2017 numbers:

Aaron Woods - 162m per game
David Klemmer - 166m per game
Andrew Fifita - 142m per game
RCG - 127m per game
Jesse Bromwich - 127m per game
Paul Vaughan - 147m per game
James Graham - 123m per game
Matt Scott - 135m per game (only played 2 though)

Players averaging 120m+ have cracked the 150m mark a number of times. But also ran for barely over 100m on a few occassions.

Its not some impossible to achieve benchmark. Its what the games best front rowers are capable of. Tamou has done it before too. The second you're one of the highest paid players in your position, you should be expected to perform like it.

The starts of our games speak for themselves. RCG is also not good enough to get our pack ontop from kick off. But as a benchie he is atleast able to swing momentum. Momentum isnt even in Tamous vocabulary. He makes a handful of jogs each game for hitups. His offensive output is nowhere near elite player standard. Its nowhere near what he has shown he can do at Cowboys either.

That's the reason he's no longer a rep player. He doesnt output the numbers other guys do or have the ability to change momentum of the game like they do.

Most of those concede lots of penalties too. If he was offers for free there is no way I would want Fifita in our team

Yep, I said in that thread they're just trying to stick the boot in to Penrith on that reddit thread and got downvoted. The NRL has also added homophobia to it.

Exactly stuff gets said all the time in the name of banter. If a line gets crossed complain and gets dealt with. Saying something 5 years later does nothing

Hey Big Willie, was this the game when your rabid Dogs fans needed a police guard of honour back to the train? You were being abused for being an idiot, which you deserved back in the day.
You've just thrown in the racial thing to try and stay relevant.

Dogs fans are the worst.

I’m/we’re not talking about last year though. He was disappointing last year, no argument from anyone.

I’m talking about the numbers for this year.

Tamou has never come off the bench for us, if he did I think his run numbers would significantly increase like RCGs have.

We should have tried benching Tamou to see. Its a shame Mckendry is gone. Could have started he and JFH then brought RCG on after 20 for the rest of the game and Tamou on after 30.

But one thing Tamou hasnt done in years is sprint at the defence and let his body and weight create a path like RCG does. If he put in effort like that on runs he could be so much better.

RCG runs like Akauolo used to for us. Tamou runs like Moylan used to for us. Just get Tamou running hard. He's a huge guy. He will win the collisions more often than not. Jogging into the defence won't often result in a momentum swing.

But Alice said Gould laughed at Mansour coming to thr table for $400k. Not that Mansour or wingers in general are not worth that.

With a $9.5m salary cap divided between 30 players. The average is $316k. Yet Gould thinks its ridiculous that one of the games best wingers. With Origin and Australian jerseys is worth 25% more than the average?

Mansour does a tremendous job for our team & would love to keep him but the whole thing about him carrying our forward pack is ridiculous. He's replaceable.
It's a little bit like Jason Gillespie getting 200 not out for Australia and then getting dropped. He's a fast bowler, his batting is just a bonus. Mansour charging into the defence like a front rower is just a bonus. His job is to finish backline movements and stop tries from the opposing outside backs and from kicks. He's neither fast nor tall so is no better than average in the core role, really. And he's not charging into the defence as well as he did before his ACL, understandable no doubt but it takes away his one advantage over other wingers. This is why Gould doesn't want to offer him $400k.

Does anyone have an actual quote from Gould or a clip?
I'm not interested in some (media) clown telling me what was said or another clown telling me what he meant.

What I said the other day is almost 100% quote.

He asked the panel what they pay.

They said $400,000

He laughed and said you can't fit wingers into the cap for that.

He also said you start building the roster from the spine/forwards and do the rest last.

If I had a way of recording it for you I would. Unfortunately it's on 9 not foxtel.
