Yesterday showed how poor Dragons depth is. They have 0 injuries had Host play as well as NRL.. Yet got smashed
Do we still have salary cap space (Cartwright money)? Are we likely to enter the play market before June 30 to add an outside back to our squad since the injury to Dylan Edwards?

We do but don't want to given Edward's age. The plan is him to be long term FB so leaves not much room to get recruits.

Caleb Aekins is the one that will come into the squad. He and Dallen will train at FB and make a choice later in the week. He has huge numbers for tackle breaks and metres gained pretty similar to Edwards in style just less pace. So Phillips is better option

Is this a guess or do you know? I really like how the club is handling juniors regardless of my wishful thinking for Luai to get a go.

So as far as I can tell we should be back to full strength (minus Mansour and pending further injuries) in 6 weeks.

The way I see it, our top 16 is pretty clear cut.

Dill, Sauce, Whare, Blake, DWZ, Maloney, Cleary, Merrin, Wall, Reg, Yeo, Bill, JFH, Tamou, Peachey, CHN.

Now obviously we’ll have a 5 game shootout for Mansours wing between Philips and Crixhton. Outside of that though, who do you think gets that last spot if we get back to full strength?

May, Egan, Katoa, Hetherington, Leota and Ellis.

I tend to think it’s gotta be Katoa or Egan. May would just play the same role as Peachey. Leota or Ellis would be in for games against big packs.

I think Leota stays our 4 prop rotation is going well. For me CHN, Tamou and Leota on bench is set. It is the utility up for grabs which should be a horses for courses. It is why I fear Blake will be on the wing. To keep Peachey and another in the team

Have been overseas for six weeks and not able to follow what has been happening behind the scenes but am curious as to what the take on the Kaide Ellis situation is?

Makes his long awaited debut, does reasonably well other than his unfortunate sin binning and then makes way for Jack Hethrington who debuts and keeps his spot against Bulldogs. Being a long way from home I just found it a little strange then I read a little snippet of rumour that Oliver Clark is moving to West Tigers next season and Kaide Ellis is also said to have signed elsewhere but it did not say with whom. Do we know whether there is any truth to the rumour Ellis has signed with another club for next season? We know only too well we can't keep them all our juniors or players we develop but I would have thought he was a must keep and is a quality first grader in the making.

Yep he is gone. So way down the list to get a start now

Clark is on the bench in NSW Cup so no chance of FG anyway. Ellis is the one that has agreed elsewhere may even be mid season yet

Well that would explain why Kaide Ellis has been overlooked for past two games. Be interesting to see who has secured his services. He is going to be a very good player.
