Well that would explain why Kaide Ellis has been overlooked for past two games. Be interesting to see who has secured his services. He is going to be a very good player.

He rarely talks about us. I guess it is easier to explain Salary Cap issues elsewhere by explaining some issues we have

There is no doubt Gus has done and continues to do a great job in running our club even if not everyone agrees or supports all of his decisions, particularly the obvious ones in respect of hiring our current coach and some acquisitions..

You guys beat me to the punch. I heard it this morning and was going to suggest the same.

When he explains the difference between a developing club and a club that just buys players you will have a renewed respect for the job he has done.

A lot of the complaining across all teams is due to people not knowing how tricky the cap can be. This sort of thing will help that

That would favour a club like the Panthers at the expense of clubs like the Roosters. Can't have that.

It is something Gus has been lobbying for a long time, but unfortunately it hasn’t got any traction (because it would disadvantage a lot of other clubs).

I haven’t ever worked out the numbers, but it does seem like there are more Penrith developed juniors in first grade across the league (also including Penrith itself) than any other one club.

Yep. That's also even more lopsided in our favour with the new country NSW programs the club has put in place.

i had to laugh reading about dean pay having a whinge about the refs.. you didn't hear him bitching when the dogs won in round 3 off a dud obstruction call!!!!! payback is all I can say!!!!
