Why? You see what you want to see.

Countless tries have been scored through him. You just blame other people for his mistakes. Although the stats speak for themselves (i know you hate stats. But they hold more weight than opinions based on what you want to be true).

Maloney has missed almost 50% more tackles than the second worst defender in the competition. 65 missed tackles and it's only Round 9.

He has been a great signing for us. Im not trying to suggest otherwise. Just pointing out the fact hes a defensive liability and its not his teammates fault.

I’m not denying he misses tackles. But I’m saying it doesn’t cost us that much. You say countless tries, but when? I can think of 2 where Kiks was caught out of position and 1 where JT and Morgan just beat us all ends up.

If it’s countless, surely you can name a few more???? Surely if he costs us so much.

Its impossible to give enough evidence to you though. You ignore all evidence and point the finger at someone else or clear him of having any chance to begin with.

By your standard its impossible for him to cost us a try. You cant give an impartial opinion.

65 missed tackles yet he isnt responsible for a single try against us....

He was atrocious against the Cows but I thought he's been pretty good for us this year. Our big liabilities(in my opinion) have been Peach at centre, second rowers out of position and no consistent roster all year to form combinations.

He has had many decent games defensively. His first game against Cowboys was one of them.

But he has had plenty of shocking moments too. Several leading to tries. Yet apparently its always someone elses fault.

Im not even judginh him as being a bigger liability than asset either. He has hands been a great buy for us. Without him we would have been f**ked the second Cleary got injured.

But hes just one of several defensive areas that need improving.

I don't know if he's mentioned it but that try to Morgan against the Cowboys on Friday night was purely on Maloney. He raced out, got absolutely no-one and Morgan went straight through where he would have been defending.

Yes, I’ve already agreed that was on Maloney, although, it was JT - Morgan brilllance, more than anything.

Dogs first try last week....can go back further if you like? Find 1 or 2 most weeks

The dogs 1 and 2 try’s were scored because we had Kikau playing in the centers and he was caught out baddly, this has already been discussed.

Please keep up if you wish to join in.

Dont bother.

Maloney has never conceded a try. Its all his teammates fault or brilliance from the opposition.

He misses 100+ tackles a year but they never lead to a try. Hell he's on track to have 100 missed tackles by Round 13 or 14. None will lead to a try though

Another cracking post. Once again thanks for your insightful input.
