Tom Jenkins is coming back to the Penrith system - not Top 30 - but can be called upon if injuries etc. Not sure how all that works - maybe Blade can fill in - but told he is glad to be back.

P.S. - Pickers won their first Group 9 GF for 33 years last week, so has been a big week celebrating.

Good man.

Sounds like a development deal.

He will be the old man of the backline at 23

Had a two year deal with the Knights and played in a handful of games at the start of this season before obviously falling out of favour and the Knights have salary cap issues. Tom offers further depth I guess While most likely to figure in NSW Cup.

Lindsay Smith has been selected to play for Australia! What a reward.

I back Mal not picking Ponga. Also back him dropping Teddy and DCE. The Aussie team needs to plan for the future.
I have seen so many quotes from non-Penrith rep team players saying how impressed they are by how professional the players are at training. Mal Meninga said that about Yeo, he tells him what to do and he knows he will do it.

I have no doubt, players from the Panthers are now getting picked because the rep selectors know they will be professional and hard working. Smith has benefited from that. Don't get me wrong he has been good this year, but I don't think a standout.

And what about Yeo. He has been made Australian Captain!!!

Yeo did just captain NSW. Jakes 7mins per game doesn't really count

Smith is underrated in defence. He looks like he's been Yeo's apprentice cutting guys and wrestling them to their back perfectly and finds his front almost every carry.

Casey McLean and Trent Toelau selected for kiwis. Also didn't realise the McLean's aren't aus/nsw guys 😭

Sorro too!

I love Sorro, along with Luai just locked up that left hand side when ever they were attacked the past two seasons.

(Garner did a job there too.)

That said In think Sorro back to the bench next year as a mobile impact middle.

Pretty crazy the team went nine points better in the finals than regular season.

Then again the other top four sides did struggle to score points against us in the home and away rounds.

Storm in round one could only manage eight and the Sharks none.

Against the Roosters it was late game management and ill discipline with the ball in the final ten that got them points.

Melbourne did put twenty four on late in the season. Dodgy obstruction off a scrum and the missed tackle that likely saw Toelau lose his spot led to tries.

Pick a best 17 team from our Grand Final teams, real one not one with 4 bench spots of honourable mentions, and players as they were when we won. I'll go first.

1. Edwards 2. Crichton 3. Fittler 4. Girdler 5. To'o 6. Alexander 7. Cleary 8. Leota 9. Koroisau 10. Fisher-Harris 11. Geyer 12. Kikau 13. Yeo 14. Gower 15. Dunn 16. Martin 17. Sattler
