Did the team he was so instrumental in guiding to 4 NRL GF's and two premeirships have their GF's taken from them for systematically rorting the salary cap and cheating the fans and players of the other 15 teams in the comp? This McGuire will want to be one hell of a coach to be able to come from what is a very, very weak rugby league competition to guide a team to a premiership in his first couple years in the NRL. Not to mention the fact that he has no halves to use and a "champion' centre who will take at least 2 months to get back to his playing weight and then doesn't want get invloved in the game for some reason.
Maguire has halves.

Adam Reynolds will be halfback, he led us to the toyota cup grand final last year. He is the next big thing. We've also signed the two best young halves in Queensland cup as backups.

As for Inglis, he will be one of those halves. He'll be in the spine where he belongs. Btw Inglis "doesn't get involved in the game" because he plays in the centres. In the modern game centres play in a corridor and our coach is too stupid to move him into a position where he'd be so much more useful.

Maguire will put him at either 6 or 1 and he'll win a Clive Churchill medal from there.

Souths can win the comp this year.

If they get 4 points for a win and win every game and have other results go their way.

Dave Taylor is a f**king clairvoyant. And you, BM, well, you're just straight up brilliant and as always, spot on.

Souths WILL win the comp this year.

You heard it here first.

What, so you're predicting an undefeated 2012? Goodluck with that, we'll all be here to LOL come round 1.
I wouldn't go quite that far. I think we'll have a couple losses perhaps around Origin time. But no more than 4 losses for the entire year.

Still waiting to hear how Maguire has more ESL success than Elliott, BM.
He won a Premiership in 1997. He only coached NRL from 2002. That's a generation in coaching. The game changes massively in 5 years.

Maguire is looking like starting his NRL career after back to back Premierships, minor premierships and one cup win. And on top of that Maguire learnt a lot more in the NRL under one of the games best coaches than Elliott ever did before he started coaching here.

Oh, so you can't actually prove that Maguire was more successful in the NRL? You lied again? That's all you had to say mate.

Thanks for the tip on playing centre. You know you're allowed to look for the ball, contest the high ball on your side, attempt to make tackles etc when playing in the centres. Lots of centres do that every week. A few don't - Inglis is one of them.

Is Adam reynolds the kid that's done his knee? I hope you're not pinning the Premiership success of South Sydney on that bloke.

Ok I'll break it down for you.

Elliott: 1 premiership in 5 years. 2 minor premierships in 5 years.
Maguire: 2 premierships in 2 years. 2 minor premierships in 2 years.

By the end of this season Maguire will have more success in half as much time.

And back then the super league was in its infancy with few aussie players. Now it's at a much higher level filled with aussie players. It's a lot tougher now than it was in Elliott's day, and yet still Maguire has more success.
