I believe that Inu's adamancy to be himself is what hurt him the most. Surely, he was aware of the general consensus regarding his attitude. But how many of us actually have personal insight into his training. People can only judge him by his performances and its easy to assume he doesn't give a hoot, but thats just the way he plays. In a way you have to commend a person that shows the courage to be themself despite the widespread criticism.

I remember a Jarrod Hayne interview where he says Inu was the star of their junior team. He did things not even first graders could do. I believe he still can.

Manu's positives outweigh his negatives.

Inu was in the negative most of his career.
Its not just 3 coaches, he'll never wear a Kiwi jersey again..

I remember another sensational player we had by the name of Ali...he too seemed to get on the outer due to his casual nature, and did not put a premiership above all else in his life...definately was our loss:x

Again that's nonsense, he had two bad games for us and those were Storm this year and one last year. That's it. He was scoring a lot of tries and was solid in defence, especially during our Grand Final run last year. I expected far worse when we signed him on given how he used to be with Parramatta but was pleasantly surprised.

It just fascinates me how much patience you have for Ropati who had at least three downright shockers this year alone, and likewise for the clubs patience with Manu who alone has cost us games.

That's exactly right, and what is so frustrating. I totally understand why he wanted out and wish him well. Why the **** would he want to stay here, being expected to only get a shot as a last resort, and expected to be faultless at whatever position he's slotted into. Yet, other faves are given chances time and again despite poor form and bad **** ups that have literally cost us games. JRo and Manu are the two obvious examples there where there is no length of poor form that would have them dropped.It's an appalling double standard.

Hes had his big game. Wouldn't be surprised if he plays well for another month or so then drops off.
Don't know the bloke personally, but he started well at both Parra and us and it fell apart from there.

Um, yes there is...past performance!;-) He's right...how many people now cringe when Manus going for the ball, unsure what will happen? Do you get that with 'Safe Bill?';-)

Catching an uncontested high kick? Both as likely to catch it as the other. Contested kick? Safe Bill's usually lucky to get a hand on it as he gets out jumped by more athletic opponents.

I actually like Inu's ability to put past errors behind him and look ahead, that's what all good players do. What I haven't really liked is his lack of intensity during games. last night he actually tried hard, he was switched on mentally and had a go physically too. Basically unlike what I'm used to seeing from him.
