Also, there hasn't been much activity in ticket sales for these games. I would expect a bit of a "surge" after the result of the Repchage Final becomes know this Thursday morning. If Lebanon can beat Samoa, expect ticket sales for these games to go gangbusters  Even a Samoa win should bring increased ticket sales, probably more so for the match against Tonga at Penrith.

I'm starting to feel quite confident that the World Cup can at least be a success on the crowds front. :)

England v PNG – 337
Scotland v France – 88
Australia v NZ – 1,374
Tonga v Ireland – 44
Repechage Winner v Tonga – 60
Fiji v France – 96
New Zealand v PNG – 176
Scotland v Fiji – 47
Ireland v Repechage Winner – 17
England v NZ – 276
Pool (3-2) v (3-3) – 54
PNG v Australia – 650
Semi-final Qualifier Pool (1-2) v (1-3) – 276
Semi Final (Brisbane) – 1,644
Semi Final (Sydney) – 491
FINAL – 7,686

So we’ve sold 13,316 of a potential 454,533 available or 2.9%

If we continue at the recent rate of around 450 tickets per day, we should move another 159,000 without too much effort and that’s excluding event lead up hype and any promotions and so on. We just need to keep that sales rate moving…

I really don't want to start another Qld/NSW war, but it is interesting to see that the semi in Brisbane has sold nearly 4 times as many as the semi in Sydney. Is there any logisitcal (non-patriotic!) reason for this?

Also, why isn't there a runners up game between the two losing semis? Surely this game would at least make some money and also let two upper level teams get some much needed practice.

One theory could be that Brisbane only has 2 games whilst Sydney has two games at the SFS and a few others in Parramatta and Penrith

I have had similar thoughts about the 3rd vs 4th playoff. If ticket sales do take off, and all the big matches sellout, then I can't see any reason why this match can't be a last minute edition.

Repechage Winner v Tonga – 64
Fiji v France – 96
New Zealand v PNG – 176

The Ticket Sales for the final are looking good. Hopefully they sell out way before the World Cup starts. It would be great publicity and could have a flow on effect for fans to buy more tickets to the Pool games.

I Have about 14 mates going to the final and around 10 people going to another 4 games in sydney. I have emailed them the seat numbers so they can pass the email onto other people who might be keen to join us. I challange everyone to get there mates invovled.

I emailed everyone with the Title "Rugby League World Cup Final Road trip" Leave the wife, girlfriend at home ;-) as the boys are going to enjoy a weekend of Golf, Races and of course the World Cup Final.

It is going to be an awsome weekend. Rev up!!!!
