Gotta say... there is a bit of excitement about our juniors again. We could potentially have a special team contending in 3-5 years.

Need to ensure they're developed right. Tell them they aint kings of this town until they win an NRL premiership. And of course hold onto the ones who will make a difference.

In saying that, I'm sure we've all thought this many times over the last 20 years.

Yes but the time is now, many in the Flegg are well under age and can pla another year or two in that comp, let the older ones fill the Cup side and continue to develop the younger ones, lots of players Contracts up end of 2023 so plenty of vacancies to those who show promise but up to coachung staff to work with them, develop and retain

How do the halves go in reserves? Either of them Bette than Milford,Clune or Crossland?
No. Would look at giving Baker a go at fullback though. Has plenty of talent and Hoy and Milford are both leaving so might as well give someone new a run.

Depressing thought for the day, of the players who could play in the halves and signed for next year I'd rank them:

Clifford with his head straight
Clune
Mann
Clifford with his head wrong
Randall?

That’s f**king grim. I think Ponga’s playing at 6 whether he likes it or not.

Glad I didn’t watch.

Jersey Flegg beat the 1st placed Roosters 20-14 and are now only 2 points behind and 4 points clear of 3rd with 2 games left. Roosters points differential makes it unlikely the Knights will claim the minor premiership but the side continues to go from strength to strength and should be a force in the finals.

Jersey Flegg highlights start at 8:36. Roosters scored the first 3 and then Knights scored 4 in a row to win.

Tries to;
#4 James Johnson
#1 Fletcher Sharpe (gets an offload mid-field and just burns everyone)
#14 Noah Nailagoliva (barges over from dummy half)
#14 Noah Nailagoliva (gets an offload from Oryn Keeley and powers his way over again)

Nailagoliva is a nuggety hooker with plenty of creativity out of dummy half and one of my favourite young prospects at the club. I’ve gotten the sense he isn’t rated as highly internally as I view him, so glad to see him coming up with big plays to win an important game like this. Sharpe is very similar to Davy Armstrong, don’t know if he’ll ever be big enough to survive first grade but is incredible to watch in open space.

Phil Gould is always stressing the importance of youth development. Thank you our Phil Gould for providing us updates on our juniors!

Where would you rank Brooks with his head straight in that list?

Brooks with his head straight on is a positive for us but a few points:

1. No guarantee our club is capable of getting that out of him
2. He is a runner 1st, thats when he plays his best footy. His kicking game isnt a stand out and hes not a known organiser, nor is he a leader

In short, if by some miracle we can manage to get his head right and get him playing at his best, what we'll have is a good 5/8 and still be left without the #7 we actually need
