Junior Sau was great too.

Not just his solo try.

I will not forget the massive run Sau made and quick play the ball that opened up the space for Rogers to set Mad Dog up for his try.

Rogers and Sau right up there for MOM.
yep, sau and rogers were both immense. houso was once again absolutely outstanding. 40 tackles and 9 hitups... most of which were quality.

I think De Gois had his best game in Knights colours and the go forward he gave us really helped the forward get right on top of a very good pack.
He is a match winner for us when he plays like that.
I can finally see why the Cronulla fans were sh*tty about losing him.

Kidley tried to do a bit of playmaking, but every time he tried to put someone into a gap his timing was off and it went to ground.
He needs to pratice more.

yeah de gois deserves praise tonight too. his and kurts darts from dummy half were great... and his try was extremely important in the context of the match.

I followed you into the KOTW thread and said exactly the same thing. I'd been underwhelmed, but he is a major asset, perhaps its the team structure starting to gel? First good game he played for us, and he was excellent.

Sau was a monster, but I feel his selfishness is going to cost us sometime. Still, hard to fault 2 Lb's and 124 metres, plus that try.

Oh wait, Rogers wasn't my MOM, but he was great, even his brain snap wasn't that bad. He had good pass selection and ran really well. People aren't exaggerating in saying his contribution won us the game, its just a few others made a similar contribution.

Pato is well down on confidence.

House was a monster, god I love what he adds to this team.

How bout Matty Hilder's tackle that jolted the ball loose when under pressure again. Excellent as always. I don't know why he was subbed for Karawana for so long, although Marv ran and tackled well when he was on. Hard to believe he was brought here as a half.

Wicks and Faas looked good, although Wicks' workload is still too low. It's hard to pick this week, why were all our forwards not getting the metres. Some periods of the game we were running 60m sets.

Anyway, excellent game, the team will be formidable when it clicks.

Congrats newwie, better team won on the night. I really cannot imagine us playing any worse, stupid penalties gifted you field position in the 2nd half and you took advantage. No biggie in the grand scheme, at least we will both be there come september.

It's one of those games that are a real bonus to win away from home. IMO it was the best game of the season, but there are still areas we need to improve.

Does anybody know when the game is available on the NRL Web site for streaming? Only heard the game on radio

Tomorrow Ian, prolly in the arvo sometime, I think they actually have a timed schedule on the NRL website.

I thought we were pretty pedestrian for large portions of the game, partly due to those penalties we were giving away of course. But most importantly, we are playing well as a team, and learning how to finish games properly, I've particularly noticed this over recent weeks.

Speaking of recent weeks, De Gois is starting to look like one of the best hookers in the game again now that he has settled into the team, very impressed with his performance tonight!

I'm sitting here quite happy about the victory, but not as stoked as I thought I would be...overall I thought we were decent, and things are looking fairly rosy overall mainly because we still have room to improve :D

The play Rogers had a go at wasn't all that bad - it was just the wrong time to try it. He probably had a rush of blood against his old team and felt he had a point to prove. He can become a very good footballer IF he learns to think a bit more. I like how he is prepared to back himself - just has to think a bit more.

How long do we have Sau signed for? He is becoming a very very good footballer. I can't wait to see how his partnership with Uate pans out - we could be absolutely lethal down that side of the field. The Macdougall/McManus partnership is also becoming a very safe side of the field as well - not as potent in attack but less likely to let in points as well.

Forwards were great tonight - Houston has turned out to be a great buy. I can't see where all the doubt about De Gois has been coming from - I mean he is 6 rounds in to the comp with a new team. I think he has gone pretty well all things considered thus far. Tonight he was pretty great and only just missed out on points from me.

Mullen and Gidley are just stellar though. Disagree with Mac - Gidley made great metres in attack when we badly needed it. Very safe at the back. Outstanding in defence. If NSW are going to pick him they need to pick him at fullback - will be a waste otherwise.

We have an Origin 5/8 any way - Mullen was fantastic tonight.

Credit to the Dragons fans coming in here with a great attitude after getting beaten.

Good stuff.

Also was this suppose to be heritage week? So did the Knights wear the old style Henny Penny jerseys? Though I heard soemwhere that it was heritage week. Though I couldn't see any of it last night either.

Exactly, too many short memories around here!

His class put us 10 clear of the Dragons to begin with!

I like how he backs himself too, just has to pick his spots better!

Definitely a great win.

Everyone wants to heap sh*t on Rogers because they have a hard on for Dureau, and hate to see my comments on him come true.
Get over yourself Karma. Yes Rodgers apparently had a reasonable game, hope he keeps it up. I only listened on the radio and to be honest I only heard his name once in the first half after an ordinary kick. I was out at dinner for the second half so he must've turned in a blinder, or they just weren't mentioning him on the ABC.

He defended very well in the second half, and made the break that led to Doog's match winner.
