Well we are still a bit punch drunk but finally staggering up the hill instead of being NRL roadkill from a management perspective.

Richo has strengths and weaknesses. We still need member accountability and to smash the matey. Easier said than done.

I think this game will really show where we are at. Parra were god awful against Melbourne, but it is Melbourne. They would have flogged most teams, including us.

So much of the team's confidence is riding on this game. I'm really really hoping for a massive game from Luai and Api. A win sparked largely by these two will be huge for us

He’s an inexperienced coach who I’ve reluctantly criticised but the undeniable fact is he is a magnet re luring elite players especially Pacific Islanders.This is such a pivotal season re his coaching career & hence I hope we surge up the ladder this season.

Ex Rooster buddy has us winning this by 12 to 18 points.

He thinks the eels will put up a fight for most of the first half before revisiting some bad habits.

So if he's right, we need to need to hold the fort for awhile before getting more creative and taking risks.

Play through our sets and try to keep them in abeyance near their line.

We have by far the more creative and enigmatic attacking side, but we have to learn to walk before we can run.

And no more of this ol 55 missed tackle nonsense. Hodgo can walk if it happens again. Its not first grade standard.

Benji got the job on the matey and we are seeing the results.

But he’s fared a lot better at recruitment and we’d be better keeping him in that role and maybe some other important tasks.

The trick is getting him to step aside with grace. If he does, it will be easier for him to come back one day in coaching with more experience and sage.

A couple of years in juniors, Reggie’s, compete against other applicants and maybe take the reins with a stronger side than he inherited this time around.

And maybe without “rats in the ranks” aka Galvin and co.
