I only just noticed, and it may have been pointed out, so apologies if it has been, but the thread title...

Mental Heath?

#thisf**kswithmyocd.
Haha have never picked that up.

fits with that test that shows your brain eyes only read the first 2-3 and last letter in words and your brain just predicts what the word is

True, though once seen, it cannot be unseen.

What does seeing a psychologist do ? Lots of things. In this case it helps highlight unhelpful thinking patterns.

PS no, wine is not usually consumed when visiting a clinical psychologist. #merica

Don’t know about the wine and the whole babe thing but there’s no shame in taking to a Psycologist just for a chat. There’s help out there if you are struggling. Don’t let shit fester away and become a burden. Act on it asap, no matter how small the anxiety you think is.

So James Graham has done a podcast with The Australian. It's about both mental health and concussion. It's called Head Noise.

BUT you have to subscribe to The Australian to listen to it.

Great stuff Eele. I’m going to kick things off and ask RUOK mate?

I am for now.

I've realised I have a wonderful family, and I work for a company that really cares about me as a person.

I got some scary medical news last week.

My company has allowed me to take a career break, to seek treatment, and have my job back when I'm fit again - which is incredible.

I also found out my wife is 6 weeks pregnant, which is amazing!

How are you?

Wow mate, that’s such great news about the baby on the way. I’m sorry to hear about the health side of things but hopefully the treatment gets you on the mend soon. It makes such a difference having supportive people around you.

I’m good mate. Spent 5 nights down at the snow with the family last week and had an awesome time.

On a personal level, we had some health stuff going on with my youngest and that was definitely stressful a few months ago, but we’re working through it now.

Hold on to all the good in your life like that wonderful family which is about to expand and maybe even an eels premiership. 😁

Take care mate.
