New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Think NZ will still be a much tougher prospect than converting Aus RU juniors. The added ask of them having to move countries when there’s 6 local full professional options and 14 semi pro options. League status/appeal in NZ is still nowhere near what it is in Aus
In my time here I've learned everyone goes to Australia at some point.
And whatever status and appeal it had..it significantly went up the last 12 months.

Forget p#ssing millions up the wall on unproven kiwi and Aussie union players and instead get the cheque book out and raid these talented wallabies and all blacks union schoolboys sides.

especially the all blacks #7. He’s built for RL and has NRL superstar written all over him.
League already does.

ANZAC game hasn't been FTA in NZ for as long as I can remember. Sky has an FTA channel they use for some sports events but they usually save the oval ball stuff for their pay channels.
The new tv deal provides for games on free to air

in the past the Anzac Day game was held at 11 pm Auckland time which isn’t really a great time slot

we’ll see how it pans out on future years

In what way? We don't have anti-siphoning laws in NZ and the FTA networks have always had limited appetite for sports rights, except for standalone events like WCs etc.

Don't quite follow this... do you mean kick off at 11pm NZT? That would mean a 9pm kick off there but its never that late is it? Unless you're meaning 11pm NZT screening time, but that's only been for delayed replays. The games are otherwise screened live on Sky.

Maybe you should google some stuff first like new nz tv deal and what time is the Anzac Day game on in Melbourne

Bahaha imagine telling someone from NZ what time it would be in NZ.

Or they could just look at the match thread.

Gates 5pm, ANZAC Ceremony 6:30pm, NRL kicks off at 7pm. Broadcast live on Fox League and Kayo Sports.

Ha indeed. Mind you, ‘go look it up yourself’ is the usual dodge when someone gets caught out.

Im guessing its the same cop out for the supposed FTA deal coming for NZ… despite there being no legislative mandate, nor any competitive pressure. Even the All Blacks aren’t on live FTA except during WCs. And even then it’s only selected matches.

Someone whose avatar is a warriors fan would have some clue when the warriors game In Melb was shown in nz

also a wahs fan would know the league is on fta as they would’ve been watching their games this year on it
