You brought up competitions from Europe having 20 teams ranging from tiny to huge, and used it to justify Sydney having nine small clubs. I asked you to name one competition that mirrored the NRL's blueprint of having nine small teams in one market while 40% of metropolitan markets across the country have none. I also pointed out the competitions you speak of use promotion and relegation. NRL doesn't.

You ignored the question because you cannot answer it. I've met way too many disingenuous people like you who deflect from acknowledging Sydney is overcrowded. The typical response from selfish NSWRL fans like you is the use of an appeal to emotion and false equivalency to argue for the status quo to remain as it is. When you're provided with facts and figures about the poor financial predicament of the Sydney clubs your ilk deflect and start attacking the person.

Most of the things spoken about on here are out of our control. You just don't want me to use facts to point out your team should be punted because you're afraid some one important might listen.

AFL doesn't have nine small teams in the same market. It also has a team in all five metro markets across Australia.
The afl does not have a team in New Zealand. The afl does not have a team based in Canberra. Neither the afl nor the nrl has 9 small teams in the same market.

This organisation was only created last year, So their money wouldn't be counted.

So the coaching Staff and 30 odd players in lower grades for the Warriors are doing so for free?

That is money invested in the sport, Also not included in the figures

And I am sure that will help The Warriors in Auckland. But the rest of the country needs money. An extra 30 players a year is only a drop in the bucket. Money for 300 would be better, considering the conversion rate from teenager to graded player and graded player to First Grade. where is that money coming from?

New Zealand is a country of its own.

All nine Sydney clubs are smaller than the North Queensland Cowboys. The Cowboys are based in a regional city with a population of just 180k. It must suck to know that the Cowboys are larger and more profitable than the nine Sydney clubs.

The Sydney Swans are larger and more profitable than every Sydney NRL club.

Teams like Roosters are already flying guys over to play in Junior rep sides, That also wouldn't show up in a $ amount anywhere
This has been happening for years. In all honesty this is a net negative for NZ as it pulls good young players out of the local competition.

There are just so many articles on juniors in nz I wonder why they keep getting missed

I mean our pathways have developed players like Stacey jones, Ali lauititi, Shaun Johnson, Joey manu, rts, nas, James fisher Harris, Brandon smith, jahrome Hughes

it’s not just the warriors producing kiwi stars it’s just about every single nrl club

our pathways have always been healthy, producing elite players has never been an issue

anyone who says it’s an issue has zero idea about the nrl

zilch

No it’s not lol

they could’ve been lost to union or sport all together

the warriors have limited spots available so if a good kid wants a chance he can go elsewhere

Plus the way the warriors have been for almost a decade it’s better they go elsewhere

carrying the warriors made rts lose his interest in the game

he should’ve stayed at the roosters he’d be winning comps still

have a look at how the roosters are developing manu and suaalli. The warriors would’ve ruined them

And yet junior player numbers across the country have been going down at increasing rates for a couple of decades.

So taking talent out of the local comps doesn't decrease the standard??? really???? That's a great fantasy world you live in.

That's the extra spend across both countries. how much will that be spent in NZ? And that will be spent on existing juniors, not likely it's gonna make a material difference in NZ, those who want to go will, those who don't wont be enticed by that increase.
At the moment the spend is on NRL clubs Top 30 squads

Then its grants to Tier 2 ie QRL, NSWRL - which has not been communicated yet

Then it goes to the local clubs as one of their revenue streams

Not sure if NZRL gets any funds from the NRL

They do, and it was increased by 1.5 million only last year. Considering the damage they do to the domestic scene they should be paying more. The IRL should be enforcing transfer fees. that would do more to save League in NZ

I'm yet to see @Pneuma address any of the points in the posts he responds to. He just deflects attention away from the points he cannot counter argue by bringing up something irrelevant and tries to incite his mates into attacking the person who made a fool of him.

His immaturity and stupidity is annoying and it's only a matter of time until I add him to my ignore list.

Try to stay on topic. Keeping off the pipe will help.
Work on your reading comprehension.

I was responding to a post about the consequences of diluting the talent pool in New Zealand. I offered a real world example from Australia to confirm that @Te Kaha was right about any raid on New Zealand's local competitions by the NRL having a detrimental impact on the sport.

Maybe you should leave the discussion to us adults, yeah?

Most of the people on my Ignore List are dumb immature trolls from Sutherland and Penrith.

Naah you are off topic. You are talking about the BRL. We are discussing NZ here ‘which is a country of its own’ to quote you! Hahahahaha
