PotatoYeah, yeah.
If quarter time breaks were "stupid", what is the NRL more intelligent somehow than AFL, American football and basketball?
Playing in quarters is brilliant - the only argument against it is this fatigue myth.
f**kers, understand this FFS. Fatigue is essentially a thing of the past in the NRL and has been for decades.
It isn't a thing worth holding good ideas back over.
They can trial it somewhat, introduce a drinks break, like they did in the pre season games, find a few games that are up in Townsville, Suncorp, country games, Penrith can get pretty hot some arvos, see how it goes, keep it for the first few months in the season, what Ricky Stuart mentioned about the RLPA talking about player welfare, and NRL sheduling games on arvos in humid areas, instead of night games, if they use the excuse of hot weather, they can gauge if its worth it to go with quarter times... im not a fan of it, but if it brings in more revenue for a 10 minute spell, then why not, the game will only get better as the players will be fresher, the attrition will still be thereYeah, yeah.

Don’t like it personally. Steals the initiative from the dominant team and allows poorly prepared or weaker teams off the hook. Comparisons with gridiron are meaningless. The game takes forever with dozens of breaks . As for afl. The comparison is meaningless. Two completely different sports. They can trial it somewhat, introduce a drinks break, like they did in the pre season games, find a few games that are up in Townsville, Suncorp, country games, Penrith can get pretty hot some arvos, see how it goes, keep it for the first few months in the season, what Ricky Stuart mentioned about the RLPA talking about player welfare, and NRL sheduling games on arvos in humid areas, instead of night games, if they use the excuse of hot weather, they can gauge if its worth it to go with quarter times... im not a fan of it, but if it brings in more revenue for a 10 minute spell, then why not, the game will only get better as the players will be fresher, the attrition will still be there
And the players get a participation award.I reckon you play 10ths - 10 periods of 8 minutes with 5 minute breaks in between. Imagine how many commercials about The Block and f**ked at First Sight you could squeeze in.
And if it gets above a fiery 25 degrees you play 20 periods of 4 minutes.

And a flag that gets passed around to each club who has the newest draft picksAnd the players get a participation award.
Remember it well. I didn’t like the way it interrupted the flow of the game even then.If you want the most appropriate example, you only have to look at the old KB/Panasonic/Tooth Cup mid-week competition. How many times did teams who were competition battlers go deep into the finals of that competition, including making the final? Quit often. It was played as 4 quarter games, and coverage ended at nearly 10.30 pm when they were played, with the game frequently ending after 10.00 pm (I can remember as I was always ordered to bed at half time).
All of whom are white and skinny, can’t tackle, catch or kick? And a flag that gets passed around to each club who has the newest draft picks
Geez you're a racist.... what about the indigenous guys? All of whom are white and skinny, can’t tackle, catch or kick?
They are getting counselling from Perth Red’s heroes Clarkson and Fagan!Geez you're a racist.... what about the indigenous guys?
I don't think it would have any impact on any of that.
The game was much faster then and there was actual fatigue that would see the big players tire and the little players with skill run around them. That’s not a thing any more due to sports science and interchange. It does. If you are old enough, you can think back on the old mid season Amco Cup days. Changes the game completely and it isn't for the good.
Bloody rubbish. Your career in competitive tiddlywinks is irrelevant to the game of rugby league. The game was much faster then and there was actual fatigue that would see the big players tire and the little players with skill run around them. Quarter time breaks will only add positives now.
