Phew, the magic trick's done, and no lucky Rabbits were pulled out of the hat, but will they get lucky this week, against the Trent Barrett-coached Eels? It's fascinating! Before all that though, this is the Indigenous Round and a chance for every club to roll out another jersey.

Tonight, it's Canterbury hosting St George. I don't tip and this is the reason why, it would be like tossing a coin, wouldn't it?

Friday, two desperados duel in Townsville. It's the Cowboys v Wests. The stakes are high. Then it's on to Brookie, and the magic - the bad blood - never ends when the Storm come to town. Friday nights don't get any better.

Saturday, Sticky's Raiders take on Robbo's Chooks in Canberra. Here's two sides just in the eight but the Roosters seem to have some real momentum now, whilst Canberra are still, well, Canberra. That is, inconsistent and full of errors, but capable of snatching a win.

Sharks v Panthers. No wonder Ivan was so surly about losing to the Warriors reserve graders last week! Because this week is tough, real tough. If Cronulla win then it could be real power shift in the NRL rankings. Penrith won't lose their number one tag easily though. It'll make for a great contest, hopefully.

Rabbitohs v Eels, aforementioned in the introduction, and a nice way to end another NRL Saturday.

Sunday, Brisbane will think they're better than the GC (they always have) which causes resentment in Titans country. This is like the little bro in the backyard, he'll go extra hard to prove himself, and the Titans have gotten just that little bit bigger lately. So look out bully-boy, no need for mum on this occasion.

We finish with Redcliffe heading to Mt Smart. Both sides will fancy themselves but the Warriors will gladly hand the Dolphins the favourites' tag, that's a curse neither side wants on this occasion. Heaps of Māori culture on show beforehand, it doesn't get much better in regular season footy.

I hope he's not as devoutly religious as Will. Those two years away really stunted his footy career, didn't it?
Yep he was still handy but his first couple of years were sensational. Jamil had major issues which cost him a career. Albert is solid but at 15 looked like a future superstar before ACL injuries

The thing with Hopoates though is if they’re super religious it probably means they’re less likely to take after their dad in other ways…

Jamil certainly took after dad, promising junior at Manly before finding the wrong side of the law and his NRL career ended after he was back in jail after being given a chance

Yep, and in comparison Will’s 2 year missionary sabbatical seems like less squandering of talent

Super religious just means you can do bad things and ask for forgiveness from a higher power, then assume you are forgiven!

Dogs taken advantage of a couple of favourable calls! No forward pass called and then Dragons penalised for driving player out when tackled.

DeBallins hand on ball called stripped, challenged. Didn't really see a stripping action but called as such by bunker.
Dogs score next set.

Dragons got a Warriors deal from the refs tonight.

The Dargons could’ve got a Penrith deal from the ref and they still would’ve got pumped. Plus they had a 5-0 first half penalty advantage and could only turn that into a 6 point advantage. Then 0-38 in the second half, can’t blame injuries and the ref for that.

Agree Dragons shit house. (Why they not that bad against us!)
Just felt the calls I saw not exactly balanced.
Even Vossy alluded to the fact the officials are going to miss blatant forward passes.

Geez, 12-nil already in Townsville. That's not the Tigers jumping out of the blocks, of course.

Double geez, the Tigers had a chance but died on the last tackle. They're diabolical.
