NSW Origin 3 Team

When you get hammered by 30 points in Origin...it's time for wholesale changes.

Just my opinion as a long time NSW fan..don't take it personally:

1. Anthony Minichiello
2. Jarryd Hayne
3. Mark Gasnier (c)
4. Michael Jennings
5. Joel Monaghan
6. Todd Carney
7. Peter Wallace
8. Brent Kite
9. Robbie Farrah
10. Luke Bailey
11. Anthony Laffranchi
12. Willie Mason
13. Luke Lewis

14. Braith Anasta
15. Ben Cross
16. Mark Minichiello
17. Ryan Hoffman

Ok justifying my selections:

Minichiello is basically the man when he's fit. If he's still playing in 3 weeks then he's in IMO. He's made for Origin.

Michael Jennings is a very talented player with more attacking spark than Matt Cooper. I think he'll be able to handle Brent Tate just fine.

Joel Monaghan is the only man that could possibly challenge Israel in the air. Therefore, his selection is a must. If Hayne's still out, put Quinn over the other side marking Boyd.

Todd Carney (yeah im biased but f*ck it) has been playing halfback but he's just a natural at 5/8. He's got the best running game for a NSW 5/8. Anasta on the bench to provide cover for the halves and slip into lock during the game.

Brent Kite's an international. Brett White aint. Simple selection IMO.

Danny Buderus has had a hell of a run since 2002. He's become the blues Gary Larson. But his time is up. Robbie Farrah will provide the spark from dummy half and a lot more variation. It's time for Benny Elias mark II to enter the origin arena.

Luke Bailey's been in the best form of his life, and he's never let NSW down so you got to bring him back. He has the experience required. Fitzy just aint a prop.

I've swapped Laffranchi & Hoffman around. I think Laffranchi can start off with the tough stuff, and Hoffman can come on and wreak havoc out wide as the game wears on.

Willie Mason was borderline, but he has the size and he just needs to fire the f*ck up.

Luke Lewis provides great variation from lock forward with his running game. And will have a lot more impact than Gallen or Bird IMO. Those guys were ineffective tonight. When the goin gets tough...those boys disappear. You can't have too many meatheads in the side.

On the bench i've gone with a couple of real tough guys to put some mongrel in the side. Ben Cross & Mark Minichiello. These guys are tough without compromising the pentalty count. Unlike Gallen and Bird. Braith Anasta adds perfect variation to the bench. He covers the halves & the backrow. If there's an injury in the halves he can move straight to 5/8 with Carney into halfback if need be. He'll come on at lock and Mr. utility Luke Lewis will move to wherever he's needed. Wether that's second row, the 3/4 line or dummy half.

Stewart was NSW's best tonight and saved 4 tries, no way will he be dropped. If anything Gidley will be pissed off.

No way in hell this will happen, as Bellamy is an arrogant prick, but if the teams were actually picked on FORM..

1. Stewart
2. Hayne
3. Lyon
4. Cooper
5. Monaghan
6. Anasta
7. Wallace
8. Kite
9. Buderus
10. Bailey
11. Gallen
12. Hoffman
13. Bird

14. Farah
15. Mason
16. Perry
17. Lafranchi

BTW what the f*ck is Bellamy's obsession with playing so many backrowers? Backrower at 5/8, backrower as a prop and 3 bench players are backrowers!
White was the only legitimate prop! ffs no wonder we cant make it out of our own 20 metre zone.

I considered Lyon but in the end thought no. Josh Perry....interesting opinion there Harold. I thought Josh Perry was resigned to being a one gamer for NSW...but he has been going well for his new club.

I totally forgot about Ryles, he should probably get a go. We could have used his agro tonight. Its a shame he gives away so many stupid penalties cause he would be a walk up otherwise.

I must of been watching a different game to all these people bagging out Mason. I personally cant stand him but when he was on the field tonight he was the only Blues forward making any yards. Im not sure why he was on the bench for so long. It seemed like he was only out there for 20 mins each half. But when he was on he was the only forward to make the advantage line & more often than not he made it over the line. I think he might be better used coming of the bench. My side for game 3 would be

1. Stewart (Saved at least 3 tries tonight)
2. Hayne
3. Monahan (Gasnier will get picked but he was terrible. Inglis abused him)
4. Cooper (Defence was sound again. Maybe should match him with Inglis)
5. Quin
6. Anasta (Need a specialist number 6 & he is the most experienced)
7. Wallace (Cant fault his game as his forward pack were terrible)
8. Bailey (Need a old head up front who will go forward)
9. Buderus
10. Kite (Will get picked again for his experience)
11. Gallen (Even though he had an off night he is just made for Origin)
12. Hoffman (Was quiet but thats cos he never saw the ball)
13. Bird (Back in the pack where he belongs)

14. Cross (Need a specialist prop & he was better than White in game 1)
15. Mason (Bring him on after 20 mins)
16. Laffranchi (Struggled last night but deserves a second chance)
17. Farah (Is a better option than Giddley as he is a much better ball player & would be great to rotate with Buderus)

Fitzgibbon would be unlucky but i think he used every thing he had in game 1.
Toupu was good in game 1 but quiet again last night.
White was non existent last night. Looked intimidated.
Simpson made no impact at all

gee why would anyone want Gaz in the team after last night, he cost us 3 tries

anyone who plays on his wing will never see the ball, one pass in 2 origin games, not good enough

he plays for himself not the team, runs up out of the defensive line and leaves a gap, and attacks on his own and will not pass the ball

wonder if dopey Gus still think she's the best player in the world

You're all crazy if you think they're going to panic and hit the big red button and make huge changes. I wouldn't be expecting much at all. Side will probably be something like:

1. Brett Stewart
2. Jarryd Hayne
3. Mark Gasnier
4. Matt Cooper
5. Anthony Quinn
6. Braith Anasta
7. Peter Wallace
8. Brett White
9. Danny Buderus (c)
10. Luke Bailey
11. Willie Mason
12. Paul Gallen
13. Greg Bird

14. Anthony Laffranchi
15. Craig Fitzgibbon
16. Anthony Tupou
17. Kurt Gidley

Tupou or Fitzgibbon might get the ass for another front rower. Matt Orford will never pull on a sky blue jumper. That's a fact.

no Turner(much as I love the guy he's up to that level yet), no Gidley, no Wallace.

Biggest f**ktard to ever pull on a sky blue jersey. No selector chose him he was only there because he does that thing with his tongue when Craigs nuts are in his mouth

14. White
15. Mason
16. Minichello (Mark)
17. Hornby

Not enough props in the side and could use Kite and Bailey (who has been the in form prop - Ryles is lazy and always good to give away penalties).

Mason needs to be benched... For the amount he runs his mouth he is always missing at the tough stages of the game... Let him on when the game calms down and plays begin to tire.

Gidley was horrible. Shouldn't be near a Blues jersey. Hornby played well in Game 1, and shouldn't have been dropped.

I couldn't choose a 5/8th. If you want experience, Anasta, if you want a young player with spark - Carney. But that is a big ask, two young halves in the deciding game. But I suppose they need to take chances. Bird needs to be where he belongs.

Couldnt agree with you more.

I would bring in Farah to the bench for Gidley as he would provide an extra point of attack and kicking option. Gids should be at fullback or not in the side at all as he isnt even a good club half let or loan a SOO one

Lyon? Cooper played pretty well, didnt really do much in attack but he and Quinn defened well. Its Gaz who needs to learn how to defend some Inglis man...

Perry? Please behave...

Need more Ryles and less Tupou, Watmough and Stewart (Glenn)
