Firstly, congrats to our Queensland forumites on the win. It was a weird old game, but Queensland deserved it.

This is nothing against the QLD fans, but honestly, the whole 'If the maroons don't win, Origin will die' beat up has really sh*tted me off during the whole series. Why the hell should we feel happy that Queensland won? I can be a gracious loser and congratulate the winners, but I'm certainly not overjoyed. Every time Queensland win, it re-enforces my hatred for them. Would you guys really feel bad if you beat us 3-4 years in a row??? I don't think so.

Cheers, thanks for the Congrats, still feels good. :D

On the whole Origin will die thing, I think it's more Eddie McGuire worried about his precious ratings. I think true league fans know how fortunes in the game ebb and flow year to year. NSW had the best in world in Andrew Johns, and I think it fair to say has been brought back a little with his retirement.
I believe as it currently stands that it's all dead level in terms of games and series won.

And you're right if we win the next 2 series, no sympathy to NSW.

Well done Qld. I thought you were the better side.

But can we stop with this " Another Qld miracle" crap. ffs! A 10 point lead is nothing these days its not like they were 20 down !!

And the last try was served up to you by NSW so all this miracle, Qld spirit stuff is utterly ridiculous.

Well done Qld - but these commentators are starting to sh*t me !!

Well done to Qld. Lot of whinging from Gould and Sterlo over the poor decisions that went against Qld. I think they were told to be a little less biased after the second game.

Qld did well to hang in - NSW should have been ahead in the first half when Qld were really looking for the sheds late in the half but they didn't have the composure to do the damage in the halves. Gasnier experiment at 5/8m was doomed to fail - they needed Hornby on much much earlier to take advantage of the tired Qlders.

Say what you want Colonel but I would hate to be Murray and Buderus if we get up.

QUEENSLANDER!!!!!!

Not sure about Buderus. He couldn't have done much more than what he did last night. He lead the team well. Some of the other so-called superstars failed to stand up. Simpson, Hindmarsh, Gallen and O'Donnell did some great work. Bailey, Mason and O'Meley need to grab a big mirror.

As for Murray - I'd be looking at his tenure as coach for next season. Give Bellamy a go.

Yeah, couldn't believe the anti-NSW bias Gould and Sterling were coming up with. They must have been given orders from on high.

Gould's endless rant about the blatant strip by Price on Grothe that disallowed a Qld try nearly made me vomit. How much more of a strip did it need to be for the video ref to rule on it then Gus???

And what was with Clark pinging NSW at the death for the 'tackle' on Wesser? 'Held' my a&*e. What a tool.

Still, I thought Qld were the better team (not that that means a team always wins a game). Hodgo must be so down on himself today after basically handing the game to them...

It has been a directive from the NRL/Referees that forcing a player like they did back into the in goal may cause injury. IMO its a crock of sh*t as the exact same tackle was performed in the field of play on a few occassions by both sides last night yet held was not called.

I think crock of sh*t is an understatement.

Is it just me, or did anyone else think that Hodgson didn't knock the ball on from that bomb which led to Grothes second try?

I thought it came off his chest just like the video referee thought.

First point of contact chest for sure. One of the replay angles definitely showed it then hitting his forearm in what looked like a play at the ball. That should have been enough IMO.

I assumed the video ref saw it hit his arm but ruled that he didn't play at it...

Looked straight through the bread basket to me (the front on camera angle was the only one that you could really rely on). I was pretty pissed by that stage though :D

I would have thought that unless it was a charge down, any other contact with the hand would be deemed as a knock on, whether played at or not?

i thought it hit his gut/chest.

what exactly constitutes a knock on - i was under the belief its hands/arms/torso - torso being the bit of your body from your waiste to your neck.

if it did hit his torso and that is a knock on, i don't know how anyone could rule he didn't play at it ... if you run to where the ball is landing with your arms out then i think you are trying to get it

I'm with you Bigfella but that was the last "incident" of that 10 minute period after halftime where everything went against us...it could have touched a hair on his head and I still would have been pissed.

I think it was validated by the commentary call (which apart from Sterlo was sickening). I cannot believe how a bloke who used to coach NSW and drilled hate into his players of Queensland can stick up for Queensland. Sure he is a commentator but I just can't come at that.

Channel Nein is too heabvily slanted towards NSW. Say what you want about Ikin but he needed to get a "genuine" word in for Queensland.

PG...if you think Ikin is bad then you should try being a Queenslander sitting through a Channel Nein call....Rabs, Gould, Voss, the Johns brothers....get the f**kn razor blades out. Sterlo is the only one I can handle.

Price definitely stripped the ball as much as Goose and Sterlo wanted to protest. I was ready to put my foot through the TV just so they'd shut up.
