Well I can just as easily say I can only think of Uncharted
But more realistically, it's basically Halo, Gears of War, Forza, Mass Effect (1), Fable vs Uncharted, Resistance, God of War, GT5, MGS4, Little Big Planet.
Hardly a deluge of exclusives for the ps3 at the moment, although the ps3 has slightly more range overall.
Anyway. Zelda Skyward Sword > These games.
GoW and Halo are quality. Current gen is the best since N64 era imo. So many excellent games.
PS3 has "slightly" more range? The vast majority of 360 exclusives or the target market are shooters, damned good ones at that but the PS3 caters to a far greater audience as far as exclusives go. It has a range of shooters including Resistance, Killzone, MAG, then you get games like Heavy Rain, Littlebigplanet, MGS4, Uncharted, inFamous, the Team ICO Collection, The Last Guardian, SOCOM and so forth.
Fable is garbage and can't be considered an exclusive franchise as only 2 is an exclusive; Fable 3 was terrible, 2 was ok and 1 was pretty good, but they'd be considered better if Molyneux wasn't an arrogant moron.
You also fail to mention other major exclusives like Heavenly Sword (as far as launch titles go) WipeOut, Motorstorm, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, etc.
I appreciate my Xbox as much as my PS3 and even most Xbox fanboys admit comparisons between the range and depth of exclusives is foolhardy.
The most recent 360 exclusives are Forza and Gears, with Halo coming out in under a week. But realistically, no other major exclusive has come out this year.
Uncharted, Resistance 3 and the Team ICO Collection are the only ones that came out recently. However, Littlebigplanet 2, inFamous 2, Killzone 3, Motorstorm Apocalypse and a few others have come out this year.
The difference between Microsoft and Sony over the past few years regarding exclusives has been Sony's focus on many franchise and Microsoft's focus on a small core group. Over the past three to four years, the PS3 has had several more exclusives and unique IP's released per year. The funny thing is, Halo and Gears of War each sell millions more per franchise.
I remember a particular Microsoft official remarking that Sony's big five can't match Halo and Gears for sales, which is a baseless lie considering Gran Turismo games regularly sell over 10 million.
Just like how Gears was "expected to be the biggest entertainment launch of the year".
If you get the impression I am biased, don't, I know both consoles and I know their exclusives particularly well. That's why I own both of them.
But I do despise some of the Microsoft media officials.....e.g. they said a similar thing about Reach in an arrogant manner, and both years CoD has blasted their theory.
You forgot Alan Wake and a few others as far as the 360 goes by the way....
That is the most sense that has been made in this thread.
It won't be better than Dark Souls, Arkham City, Skyrim or Uncharted. ;-)
