I haven't seen anything at all to say it will be better than a handful of games that came out this year. Maybe I'll be proved wrong. You and I are both speculating, no different from one another.
When you say it could realize the full potential of the Wii, what do you mean exactly? The mixture of the Wii's controllers, visuals and so on?
I've no doubt that, being Zelda, it will be a phenomenal game. But better than Skyrim and a few others? I am very doubtful.
The same thing as "realizing the full potential" of a platform could be said with Skyrim as well in some ways.

Agreed. I wouldn't go as far as saying its back to form, as TP was great, but it looks to be an improvement over TP and looks a strong contender.

How would you even know how good Skyward Sword is? :S

Edit: my mistake, not out in Japan yet, as I thought, but reviews have gotten a hold of it before general release, to extremely high praise.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 was one of the best games of this generation. I havent seen anything to say that Zelda would be better. That's my opinion - no different that I think Skyrim will be better, much as adamkungl and Parra Pride think Zelda will be the best game this year.



And from reports I've read I doubt that.
What? Validate the existence of what exactly? The Wii?

I own 3 different copies of that game already (original N64, gamecube wind waker preorder bonus, gamecube zelda compilation) and I'll gladly pay for it a 4th time :lol:

I have five, including the three you mentioned, I have the downloadable version that was released on the Wii store, and the 3DS, if they released it again tomorrow I would buy it again, it's just that good.

Twlight Princess got better reviews, generally, than Oblivion, and was a game made for Gamecube essentially ported to the Wii last minute. I see no reason to think a Zelda tailor made to use the most recent technology available won't kick the Elder Scrolls ass again ;-)

Feature-wise both consoles are largely similar at this point.
If you want a Blu Ray player, get a PS3.
If you want to play Halo, Gears of War, or Forza get an Xbox.
If you want to play Uncharted, God of War, or GT5 get a PS3.

If your mates are all playing Madden or CoD or whatever on a specific console, get that one.

You shouldn't use your PS3 as a bluray player that's how I f**ked my PS3 and the laser burned out. Bluray players are dirt cheep these days and you can pick a quality one up for $100-150

I generally don't recommend the Wii. It has lots of good games, and a few amazing ones, but the xbox and ps3 have a heap of amazing ones.

But the thing is about $150 now with Mario kart included. Cant argue with that

Last week I got a 250gbb Xbox360 for $470, came with Kinect (yawn) Battlefield 3 and Forza 4. Pretty good value imo, just need to offload the Kinect for $100 or something...

Mario Kart is the game me and my mates play when we're having predrinks.

I bought the $150 wii/kart package just so I could practice...it and wii bowling is the only thing I like about the Wii.
