Just forced myself through a second viewing of the game. Our pack really was horrible

Moylan defense at back is non existant.

He's not the only high profile fullback to be made look a goose in defence this round. Hayne and Tedesco both were beaten badly in the last line. DeBelin had beaten half the forwards already, Moylan wasn't stopping him.

The Dragons played really really well in conditions that suited them and we just weren't ready for what they did. Complacency I suppose but how can you be complacent in the first game of the season? In any case, I think we all need to ignore that run, surely a different side will come out next week. Whare might need a game or two in the reggies. I thought Hiku had a bit of a go after copping a nasty high shot early on.

Why waste time on guys finding form in Hiku and Whare when Ed wards is in peak fitness and ready to go?

Saw Edwards in reserve grade. He will need a year in that grade before he is called up.

Paper talk can be misleading. The Dragons have a better pack than in 2010. Games and premierships are won on performance not potential. Gould has stuffed up a lot of clubs and is a bag of hot air.
Merrin never contributed much at the Dragons and was never a match winner and Tamou is past his best. Rein is robotic and the Dragons should never have kept him. Luke Lewis and James Segyaro should never have been let go.

Nothing I love better than a rival fan wandering into our forum thinking they are an expert on our team just because their team managed to win. How about you just wander back to where you came from and leave us to it?

The amount of dumb offloads I saw yesterday were alarming. They hadn't realised that they had to work hard and not just doing all the fancy stuff to win.

I don't think enough of your players have balls-aggression or heart. Look at the dogs. Low on skill but never give up and a great attitude. I applaud them.
At the end of the day thou they cant win the comp while Penrith can. I am a little worried the Eels have put together a Dogs squad. Never stop trying but not the skill to get it done.

Do not under estimate what a guy like Mansour does to your team. One hard charge can fire up the next guy.

Cartwright must be dropped immediately. To the bench or NSW cup. He needs to learn when to and when not to pass.

You seemn what he offers defensively? He puts his body on the line and never gives up on trying to stop a try.

He was a beast in the 9s in defence. Better than any of our back 3 are. Whare WAS a great defensive centre. But even he sucked in defence.

Tmm playing so well makes it hard to move Moylan. But hes a very weak fullback without good wingers to dump the ball to. Whare and Hiku looked so slow, potentially not confident in their knees yet. Dwz and Mansour are bigger, stronger and run the ball with more purpose. That has meant Moylan never had to.

Get Edwards in and he will atleast run with purpose and put his body on the line.

The most this side lost by in 2016 was 18 and then 16. Those were against the grand finalists. We should not be losing by 30. They did not expect St George to play how they did and weren't prepared.

Id be happy to chuck Cartwright on the bench. Let JFH loose early to bring some aggression. Tamou and Merrin need to lead as well. Yeo was the only bloke in the pack that had a crack. Whare and Hiku were first game back from injury and playing in the centers for a few years. They're not going to be Mansour/Dallin but our pack leaving us on our back foot all game is the real issue.

Highlights were Martin and Blake and Wallace was gutsy.
