I'm happy for the win, and it should do our confidence the world of good.

But it's the type of win that will mask over the cracks that are so obviously still in the team.
Yeah I agree souths will put 40 on us in a few weeks and send us back down to reality.

It makes the next 2 weeks must win.

But I am enjoying the weekend why be down after a win. I agree we aren't winning the comp this year.

Too many weaknesses across the park and a lack of experience. We have a big gap of games played between our senior players and our inexperienced. A lot of players under 30 games but not many in the 75-150 games bracket where you should be at your peak.

Knights played up in Nth Qld last week. You don't play a game there and bounce back in 6 days. The humidity killed them. Never a chance to win after playing up North
Maybe they should spend a couple of days in Darwin instead.

Our record is 6 wins 3 losses coming off the Darwin match.

And never lost the week after losing in Darwin. So we have the Darwin bounce back factor.

On the flip side, missing arguably our best two forwards ( or at worst 2 of our top 3 ) we f**king smashed them through the middle allowing us to break the line with ease.

Knights didn't come to lay down and get dominated like that, we made that happen.

Thank god Fittler will pick the saifiti twins come origin time.

What would NSW do without those 2.

And seriously, why are our juniors so bad??

We were once a powerhouse in the juniors dept.

I had high hopes for Russell and dunster, but wow......they are bad.....very bad

And why has bushy given hodgo the keys to do what he wants?? He never let's a hooker stray away from the game plan, yet he wants the team to revolve around hodgo...and he is bad.....very very bad...

I would've given doorey a run even in the middle just to see if he could punch some holes

Dyl again was too flat. When the outside defense rushed out, the only thing he could do was step in side

But with Russell try he wasnt flat and that's how he should play

Great work by our boys and Maka and Emu impressed, more of this, please.

And Penisini really is developing well, gonna be a decent centre when he matures, so strong in the legs and can bust a tackle.

Scoreboard looks great but geez the Knights were bad in defense, hard to get too excited and expect more of this unless we come up against teams that are gonna play as bad as the Kninghts did.

Oh and hodgos grubber to no one did it for me. It sould've been fired out to moses as quick as possible and i think it was tackle 3.

I guess that's what hands would've done

quiet a few of them f**ked up, if Gutho passed the ball instead of going on his own we could have had another 2 easy ones.

too many players holding onto the ball when they should have passed

I dont see the point of being deflated after a game like last night.

Yes we probably left 4 or 5 tries out there but enjoy it for what it is.

Not many times we get to play a team that rocks up not giving a flying toss.

If you can't enjoy the wins then you are supporting the wrong sport.

I think everyone knows we need improve massively still.

I rocked up pessimistic last night about our chances so I was happily surprised as it was the type a game when things aren't great we tend to lose.
And we did it without Matterson and RCG.

Hodgson was embarrassingly bad once again. Stifles the attack. Not up to the speed of the game. Past it by 4 years. Just give him a coaching gig pleaseeeee.

Penisini our best 3/4 since Lyon, Tahu. He hasn’t hit anywhere near his peak yet.

Our completions were still in the 60% range because we realised how shit they were and got too excited. If we just simplified it we would have put 60 on them.

I thought Cartwright played so well in his 150th game. He has had a very consistent year. Still not the best player defensively but in attack he is playing deeper and more straight.

Makatoa has had his best year with us. He is probably peaking as a player which is what you’d expect at age 30. Ogden made some huge runs as did Greig. They looked liked seasoned first graders. Ogden is obviously looking at another contract and based on that performance you’d give him one.

No more talk about Gutherson being moved from fullback. He is a phenomenal player. Our best since Ray Price. My favourite since Hayne in 09.

And another thing. Moses is as important to us as the air in the ball. Without him, we are f**ked. To us he is worth every cent. Best long range kicking game since I’ve been alive.

I tend to agree.

While we can only play what's in front of us (and what was in front of us was awful), we scored 3 (or was it 4?) cheap tries from dummy-half/running at piss-poor defence on the line, and we left so many points on the board.

A win is great, but we weren't that good - Newcastle were abysmal.
Eele after having to secretly watch Kayo in a meeting in the UK on Friday morning on my 50 somethingth birthday last week, to only get caught out groaning over our performance last week, I’ll take the win this week!! And enjoy it!!
