Round 18 v Sharks

Albeit six of these games were played at the start of 2013 when we were going terribly, but we have lost six of seven games when Whare has played FB.

Also for context, he played there once in Round 26 last year then the last time before than was 2013. So if he is picked there it is probably about choosing players with first grade experience.

You'd think either way Luai will go there until Dallen's back if not longer. So might go the stop gap I want us to get combinations going so would rather Aekins in for that reason alone. Even if Phillips plays there and Aekins on the wing

I don't think we can carry both Peach and Egan on the bench. Nor can we do without CHN who was outstanding last game.
Given the tough Sharks pack, I prioritised Leota & Hetherington.

Just not sure whether CHN will be effective against the Sharks or that Katoa can play 80 (rather have Peach roaming while on instead of locked in at the ruck).

Panthers coach Anthony Griffin has named his side to face Cronulla Sharks at Panthers Stadium on Friday.

Griffin is able to name an extended 22-man squad on account of the club's representation in Origin III.

SECURE YOUR SEATS NOW

With Dallin Watene-Zelezniak sidelined with a hamstring injury, fullback Caleb Aekins has been named to make his NRL debut as Panther No.580.

The 20-year-old Kiwi has been a standout performer in the Panthers ISP side this season and recently re-signed with the club until the end of 2020.

Aekins will be the club's sixth NRL debutant in 2018 and will make his debut in the youngest and most inexperienced side to take the field in the NRL competition this year.

The Panthers will wear the 2018 Home Jersey.
