How are we blaming jfh and Blake for Cartwright throwing offloads to them where they are at best 50% chance at taking them?

Cartwright is always pushing the pass whether it's on or not.

Been playing long enough now to know he won't improve
He has improved. Last year ge made multiple each game this year its one a game on average.

But compared to Latu or Cartwright his errors are nothing. Our game plan seems to be shifting toward trying to push passes and our errors have gone up as a result.

He had an extremely low error rate early this year.

I don't know what the f**k to make of that. I was ready to call for Griffin's head after 20.

Somehow we ended up with a strong defensive effort after that start. Lots of players stood up, Wallace, Latu, Grevsmuhl and Waqa. Grevsmuhl was really good up front. RCG responded well to his benching, one of a hand few of games I thought he was worth his spot in the team. Akauola a good game whatever minutes he played.

Cartwright was geniused in the first half, Moylan in the second, but then it was almost always on and if those plays stick we'd have had a handful more tries and won by a mile even after that shit start. I dunno. Keep Grevsmuhl in the middle, Peachey is an important player to us, Mansour is awesome and turning into a leader.

What I learned from that game is that we really need to go back to focusing on defence and winning games off our defence rather than relying on our attack to get us home.

DWZ has been average but Hardaker has been god awful
I'd say more like DWZ average in attack and godawful in defence, Hardaker the opposite.

On second thought, DWZ a tad better than average in attack, and a tad worse than godawful in defence.

Rubbish first half. Defence and handling were atrocious. Second half we were very good in defence. Moylan and Cleary righted the ship with some composure. I thought our forwsrds looked great going forward for most of the game. We played for 20 minutes and it was enough. The side is dripping with talent they just can't seem to play composed footy for 80 minutes.

Damage minimisation next week then bring Martin in and hope we can get some confidence and consistency against weak sides in the run in. We will only be papering over the cracks either way but hopefully there's enough talent to get the young guys some finals exposure and a solid 1-17 to prepare for next year.

Lucky flash has sympathy for Penrith and isn't even trying.
Flash is already on his way to the Roosters, seeings Parra are a rabble this year. He mustn't have been able to believe his luck when DWZ stood around and let him score instead of tacling him into touch as any winger worth a pinch of poo would do.

I think the win just papers over the cracks really but the value of Moylan, Mansour and Peachey was highlighted today, there's no way we would have made the comeback without their efforts, even if Moylan wasn't that good he at least provides some structure.

The form has been ordinary but 4 wins from 7 is doable with the draw that they have, but only if they show some improvement in defensive commitment right across the team.
