Maybe not burnout, but maybe the fact that we start well, but then opposition teams work out our game plan and counter it, but Mary being Mary refuses to admit that what was working early in the season is no longer working and will not change it.
The player then get discouraged and loose hope.
As for smarter use of minuites, I'll ask Sele how it feels to sit on the bench the whole game, see what he thinks about this "smarter" use of the bench.
Burnouts, no game plan, poor bench use, Friz is flat, Vaughan is quiet, Dufty is Shit, Aitken can’t pass, Latimore’s a plodder, Sack Mary etc.
FMD we’re 6-1. We’re going really, really well.
There’s always improvement, we all have our expert opinions - mine’s Nighty needs to be replaced asap by Mann, Lomax or Field.
But honestly it’s not 2015, 16 or 17 we’re a much better team this year. Mary and co aren’t L platers anymore. The team and coaches were outsmarted last week not outplayed - it happens to the best in footy. Aitken made Inglis look like a rookie yet I’d love to have Inglis.
Let’s see how we go tomorrow, and the next few weeks but even beyond that there’s 17 games to go and they’re killing it.
I think we’re going very well and will continue to go very well.
Wait, wait, wait!! You mean to say it’s not all doom and gloom? For Christ’s sake have you not been watching us for the last 7 weeks. It’s like you’ve been on another planet.
Yep, if we go 6-2 with storm and rabbits just around the corner waiting in their dens, Mary and Co would want to hide.Geez this is a depressing place sometimes.
Imagine the doom and gloom around here if we lose another game.
The idea of bringing your starting props back on 15-20 minutes into the second half is to reduce interchanges. You rotate your props around the 20 minute mark (depending on the flow of the game and fitness, could be up to 25-30 mins) and then your bench props play out the half, get a break at halftime, then pump out another 20 minutes after halftime to be replaced by the starting props. (Ideally this is all done in 20 minute blocks, but changes depending on ability and fitness of those props). Therefore, 4 interchanges used for the prop rotation.I will never understand the bench rotation of props today, and all teams do it.
I don't see the point of taking your starting props off after 25 minutes and leaving them off for the starting ten minuites of the second half.
Surely you want your two best props on the feild to start the second half, they have had a rest, get them back on.
I'm not a coach, therefore have the credentials to coach the Dragons, but I would have two second rowers play the 80, JDB and Frizzell can do this, then rotate Graham, Vaughn and Simms on and off for 15 min stints.
We must have some of the most negative supporters in history, on this site. It is almost like they want us to fail, just so that they can be proven correct?FMD, 6 other coaches didn’t have the smarts to beat the Warriors, they have had some luck, played very well and are on a roll again after losing to the Broncos the week before.
We’re on a roll too, going really well, we have a quality squad and I’m really excited about tomorrow.
We are better than the Rorters.
FMD you’d think we already lost the next few games the way people go on.......because we did last year.
Get on board people, we are a bloody good team this year and have the opposition worried.

Mary should have Agar consult with him on the attacking plan every 6 rounds. That way we could stay ahead of the opposition.
We only started last year well, the year before we were shite all year. Last year was both the mental resilience that Ouryear detailed so well. And hugely was that McCrones form turned garbage, particularly his kicking game. To a lesser extent was packer not recapturing his early season form, losing aitken, the various injuries and travails of Dugan etc...All of which were not handled as well as they should have been by the coaching staff.Well if it's not burnout what is it?
What happened last year when we lost so many games with the season in the line.
You can't blame Widdops injury because even when he came back we kept losing.
Why do we start seasons so well and end up going backwards?
Maybe he should have someone cosulting with him during the game, perhaps they could have whispered in his ear during the Warriors game "gee, those high balls ain't working, maybe we should try something different?"
Also by adding Mann as a go fix if utility playing just about every position now adds that extra 5 mins break for the forwards.
I agree burn out shouldnt he our issue, however, injury is, and McGregor really needs to have reserves that are hardened and ready which IMO they're not.
The drop between our current forwarx pack and those in ISP is enormous just need to watch replays of our ISP in action to confirm this.
Host is going to be a very good player but needs minutes and a bit more mongrel in his game. He's also not a prop.
Sele also is not a prop and plays more like a lock.
Lawrie and Kerr still need ISP development time.
Allgood and Latimore are just plodders and add no starch.
So, who is left to fill that void?
I have a sad feeling we will need to find out soon enough

And don't forget someone to scream out in Mary's ear....
"They are in our faces, so get our boys in their faces too, tell them to stand off side so the refs get sick of it all and stop the offside!!
And Mary, we better get the word out to Benny Hunt and Widdop to put some kicks in behind the bas###ds.
"They won't be able to turn and chase quick enough"
Oh, and let Dufty know whats going to happen so he is ready to chase, Nene too!
But nahhhhh, let's just watch it unfolding and hope something else happens.
Hey mate you might be right, I must take a good squizz tomorrow and see if and who it is.Do we even have anyone running out on the field ala Alfie? I'm sure we could benefit from someone with a bit of footy nouse running the water occasionally.
