It would have been great to see Semi back in the NRL, he was playing with Bristol but all English clubs are tightening thier spending so he signed a 2 yr contract in France, by the time that contract ends he'll be 33

It's a shame his talent doesn't get used in rugby, NRL 94 games 82 tries, Union 109 games 31 tries.

If you have a look on YouTube there's a highlight package from his Parramatta days, I have no doubt he would have been the GOAT winger if he'd stayed.

The ARU are now looking at the possibility of recruiting coaches from rugby league.
Apparently several U6s coaches from across sydney have been approached with the view to taking over from eddie jones with the attitude "well they aren't going to do any worse are they"

The fall of Australian RU in the last 20 years has been stunning. At that point they’d won 2 out of 4 of the World Cups thatd been held, twice won the tri-nations, held the Bledisloe Cup for 5 years, and the Brumbies had won two super rugby titles, were perennial finalists and were rivalling the Raiders in Canberra.
Now they haven’t won the Bledisloe since 2002, haven’t won another RWC, haven’t had a team win a Super Rugby title in a decade and are about to crash out of the RWC in the pool stages. It makes the super league war look like a blip on the radar by comparison.

And it’s damaging the sport in NZ too because trans-Tasman rivalry was a good chunk of what make supporting the All Blacks and Super Rugby teams fun.

These days RA can't match NRL clubs financially so they resort to selling them the dream of wearing the Wallabies jersey and travelling the world...but if the Wallabies are loosing no kid will want to go down that path.

I saw that Raeline Castle is now head of NZ sport.

Successfully destroyed the Bulldogs and ARU.

Now falling further upwards to take down NZ as a sporting nation.

I think Raelene deserves some sort of recognition for doing everyone a favour by destroying Canterbury & ARU.

Don’t think it’s quite at that level TBH. It’s not at Eden Park every year and it’d still comfortably sell out the other grounds. But the general buzz around the games isn’t the same.

Yeah good piont, in this year's 2nd Bledisloe the All Blacks rested 12 starters and still won.

But the All Blacks have lost all thier games to the top teams in the past 3 months, to the Springboks, France and loosing at home for the first time ever to Ireland.

To be fair they also beat the Springboks. But in general the northern hemisphere has caught up to to us now, France, Ireland, England and Wales can foot it with the SH teams and beat them regularly.
