As previously mentioned, the reported 1.2 mil a season may include a big 3rd party payment. Say if it was 300K a season 3rd party, then Newy would still have a reported 1.1 mil to spend on players for next year, if they can get them.

If we get Klemmer that would do me along with those already signed, think that would make us a top side and he will bring others, DSaf, JSaf, Esee etc to improve and other club players will look to us differently as far as signing on.

I dont believe the money mentioned. The press more often than not inflate it for the headline. They wouldnt have a clue. I reckon Klemmer is a 900 K value player to us and somewhere near there on the open market. Over a mill is a lot of money for a player not in the spine

Is it safe to say they've filmed that tease with just anyone that remotely looks like the actual signing from behind, and that the wedding ring could just be an oversight/red herring?

I'm going to wait until 4 before I blow my load. It all feels a little fast for it to be Klemmer this early, but there's every possibility the press just caught wind of it late, too. We've been working on Klemmer through the media (at least) for damn near a year or so now, and it sounds like the release request actually happened last week. Anything's possible. Hoping for Klemmer, expecting Zac Woolford.

Now, having said all of that... why the f**k would you tease anything less than Klemmer given the current news cycle? I suppose you might if you just love disappointing people - and to be honest that does sound like us... but surely we'd have more tact than that.
