So if i was to make reference to a friends skin color you instantly assume that i think he's inferior to me? Does that mean when he calls me a white merkin (which he often does and i piss myself) i should be offended and think he feels i'm inferior LOL? My mate who is of indigenous descent is one of my best mates i've ever had but i never have and never will think or feel he's inferior to me in any way whatsoever just because of that fact.

I'd NEVER mention or ridicule anyones skin color or race if i didn't know them. That also goes for countless other situations that aren't racial. It's called context and perspective knackers, go out and get yourself some because every situation is different.

That's a fair enough opinion Noa and i'll certainly never say you're right or wrong on your views. I'm purely basing my observations on the indegenous people i know and as i said especially one of my best mates. He doesn't paint every single situaltion with the same brush because every situation is different. bullsh*t... As someones who's worked in mental health I've never heard of someone taking E's for self medication. People with Bipolar tend to self medicate with Alcohol, Marijuana, coke, Pain killers etc.

Joey said his ignorant comments had no malice aimed towards Timana. Which remains the possibility there may have been malice int he comments aimed at GI. How would your mate feel if you want a racist tirade about another Aboriginal - or would he still be sweet with that?

Even then - socially accepted racism is still racism and not acceptable. You may think its okay - but people in the past thought slavery was okay. Its not. Evolutional morality tells it is not. Catch up dinosaur.

Okay I am confused. When revealed Timana quit the team over racist comments aimed at Inglis by Joey - he was called a sook by many on here and that his action punished the team.

Joey is the coach of the team and he has quit. Why is he not being labelled a sook? How is he not punishing the team? Surely his quitting is worse. They were his comments!

Timana was not a sook what he did took guts. Joey is not a sook either - althought I am confused as to why the first press release he said some of the comments were aimed at himself? Is Joey aboriginal? Or was he hoping the issue would go away and Timana remain silent? Makes no difference to me - I would still have Thurston in the all time Indiginous team at halfback. Hah!

Agree. The same NSW supporters who ridiculed and denigrated Queensland for selecting Falou due to 'principle' are now calling Tahu a "sook" for taking a stand against racism.
