I am not saying I disagree with you on us needing to make the GF for BA to keep his job, but hypothetically, if we make the prelim and lose because the ref misses a blatant Kikau knock-on or Moses hits the post with a match winning field goal, do we get rid of BA?

This is where luck and sometimes things out of the control of the coach come into play in determining game day results. Why would it be sensible to them blame the coach?

Of course not. But if we cop a hiding then YES.

This. Everyone gets that winning a comp is the ultimate goal, but that requires luck with injuries and lots of game day luck. Really all you can do is chip away and deal with 2001, 2009 and 2021 as the Footy Gods decide..

AND BEFORE anyone shouts mediocrity etc at me, I want a comp badly but I am a realistic enough to accept we gave last year a hell of a shake and hope we do this year too.

You're going to have to get some GOATS to win a comp and if you look the company that we keep in the Top 5, GOATS are hard to get. So you can keep sacking coaches until you win a comp, but nothing will change until you get some GOATS.

Bullshit. We all knew Penrith where building towards a premiership. And after they lost in 2020 they come back stronger in 2021 and took care of business like they had to.

The Roosters have won 3 premierships in 10 years. They must love what failing looks like.

As for all the players that you believe are failures, I could write in detail as to why you are wrong on most, but can't be bothered really.

The real point to all of this though is not that the Roosters can get it wrong here and there, like all clubs do for varying reasons and a lot can stem from the loyalty between the coach and his players, especially if they have had mega success together over a few seasons prior. But the real point is the management above the coaching and their(Politis) ability to put aside that loyalty and see what needs to be done and pushes the coach in the right direction. Moves the players on that they see won't be part of a premiership tilt from here on in and brings in the new and fresh superstars that will that they believe will.

Watch this space champ.
So we need to sign Nick Politis? ffs Owe’niel get it done!!!

Welk that was an odd, off topic rant.

I feel like if we did move on from BA I would still love him part of the club somehow. Unsure what role or if he'd be interested but perhaps helping with junior development and structures.

He isn't a bad coach. I think he does know how to build a good roster. I feel his tactics are a bit boring and uninspiring and most likely not good enough to be the best side in the comp.

The point is that if BA makes a GF and loses well fair enough he and the team went as close to taking it out without success and a GF victory over the other two main contenders would be one hell of a win for a team that hasn't even progressed past week 2 thus far in their evolution and would be unfair to the coach having done so well. Most teams lose one before they win one. But if he can't get them to the GF I can't see him doing any better with what will probably be a weaker roster the following year. So lets move on and get a coach in that we plan on having for more then one more season and a long term future with our club while he is still available.

No one would expect BA to survive another season after 2023 if he has a worse season then he does this year do they? So why waste 2023 and then start with a new coach in 2024 when who knows by then who will be available? If we do we are just treading water in 2023 and it is just a waste of time till the new coach comes in with his new ideas and philosophies. That means by 2023 it will be 28 years and counting and then by the time the new coach adjusts and rearranges the roster to his liking we are probably looking at 40+ years if we are lucky.
I don’t disagree that we could have more success with a better coach (leaving aside the debate on who is or isn’t a better coach) but why would a better coach want to come here after our premiership window has supposedly closed? Do these better coaches want to do rebuilding? Where have they done it in recent years? Where has a better coach stepped in and not had success within the first year or two?

Bullshit. They were gifted a grand final spot and the ref took care of business for them.

Yes. It was all set up.

Let's face reality. We had 80mins to score a try and only one we did was off a bomb. I dont even think we had them stretched once in that game.

yes we did but the ref called time off while the Panfers got their defensive line reset whilst some goon pretended he was injured, and he was no where near the ruck.

Our 2 Lb to their 1, disputes this statement……

additionally we had them stretched on at least 2 occasions, however Moses and Will were taken out on 1 and the other their trainer had to fake an injury to slow it down……

Even on Pous statistics being there is 4 sides a year that get to it then
That’s not my statistics at all. I think they should be weighted away from fundamentally weaker clubs toward fundamentally stronger clubs, which is what reality looks like. I never pretended it was an even competition.

Do you think the Tigers keep missing the finals because of their coaches?

Were they also lucky? They won three finals games by a combined eight points.
