Thoroughly agree - the CC Bears could do worse than bizarrely talking to Braidwood and use the basic idea they have. It is simple yet aggressive, like it is staring you down before ripping in.

That logo we poached from the Memphis Grizzlies when we reformed in 2003. I finally re-designed one this year as the committee wanted something a little more aggresive.

You know whats just occured to me mate? The bears logo seems to be cursed.

North Sydney, Snowy River (Jindabyne) & Adelong-Batlow were all very strong clubs in the mid 90's.

1996 is a good example of some synergies, Snowy River & Adelong-Batlow won the Group 16 & Group 9 Premierships respectively that year & North Sydney were hot favorites against Saints in the Prelim final.

Within 6 or 7 years all the clubs were gone at their espective senior levels.

What about Blaney? Are the Bears still going out that way?

North Tamworth Bears won Group 4 in years 2005-08 inclusive, and they hadn't been a force since the early 50's, Litchfield [Darwin] have won 5 or 6 premierships in the last 20 years and Burleigh aren't too shabby. Blayney are only a junior team at the moment.

I like your redesign Philby

The ARL at the time owned the rights to the names "Broncos", "Bulldogs", "Raiders" etc for use in Rugby League in Australia, hence the Super League teams weren't able to use them as mascots

Actually Cronulla was still known as the Sharks... Sort of...

On official letter heads it featured the Star Logo (which we used in from 1998) saying 'Super Sharks' (it was shortened to 'Sharks' in 1998). Our games still featured Sharks mascots.

Maybe not legally or something, but NQ had a Cowboys mascot at the game, and shouted Cowboys over the PA same as the Broncos. All the SL merchandise had NQC and pictures of Cowboys on it also. And were reffered by those nicknames in their respecitve local press.
